Popped up on the Cobb Salad thread and a few others, said "white Rioja," and disappeared once again into the cyber mist. It was like a much more pleasant version of the assumed-dead killer leaping up out of the bathtub for a quick final swing of her dagger.

Any theories here? Has she finished her WSET and is now back to educate the ignorant masses? Was she jilted by some taller, handsomer wine forum that lured her away and now expects us to act like it never happened? Has her account been hacked by the Russians and/or Jill Stein? Inquiring minds want to know.

She's been posting in a few threads. She's a possible future member of the Central Florida CT off-line group!

She has been busy at work and had some upper management issues which she has apparently remedied to at least some extent.

I'm sorry but that's all far too pedestrian. I want to hear how she's been kicking out of the witness protection program or something ...

Well Hank, she remedied the situation by giving them some new shoes, made of concrete. Then she pilfered their bank accounts and is now on her way to Italy to live the life of a cellar rat. The kink is that she owns the winery unbeknownst to her employees. She gets to "work" part time and barrel sample all day long.

The above is all supposition based on drinking too much tonight. I shall now go post in the "one whole bottle of beer consumed alone" thread.

After quietly eloping to the Isle of Jersey with pjaines, annerk started a rescue shelter for albino rabbits. Her once frequent visits to CT Forum are sporadic due to the limited availability of whale oil for her emergency generator, and her demanding duties as Chairwoman of the Neighborhood Watch League that mans (womans?) a 5x150 telescope pointing toward Germany.

Albino rabbits are dangerous killers.

I'm fairly sure she was an original member of the CT group there.... and in Joizey. annerk reigns.

what do we conclude from the fact that she is not speaking up on her own behalf? from the few times that i met her, i don't recall her being at a loss for words.

Per Facebook she was admitted to the hospital yesterday for appendicitis. Per today’s post she seems to be doing well and itching to be released. She is not happy with the food choices.

That's exactly the type of social media post I would submit if I, like annerk, were trying to draw attention away from my clandestine trip to Elbonia to orchestrate the liberation of thousands of albino rabbits being held for ransom.

Originally there were only two rabbits being held, but it's been a few weeks in captivity....

Wait, she's rescuing killer white rabbits?

Remember the velociraptors from Jurassic Park? They're cuddly kittens compared to albino bunnies!

I'm a little in love with the Pynchonian and Carrollian turns this thread has taken.

Oedipa Mass followed the muted post horn; Annerk in her infected appendix, generally anesthetized fever (get well soon Anne!) is somewhere chasing re-corked rehoboams as they hop just out of reach. Dare we follow her down the rabbit hole?

Those of you who know Flamingolegs will appreciate the hysterically ironic humor in those words.

I am here. Although several of the ideas cast about in this thread could be under consideration, unfortunately the truth is far more mundane. Indeed I ended up with an infected appendix which has been removed. I celebrated yesterday with a holiday lunch with 14 friends and 15 bottles of wine. Uncomfortable but no pain unless I sneeze. Sneezing is no bueno.

Good to hear from you, Anne! You need to get back to Texas. Lots more good and competitive wines. Getting better every year. Be well - and as others said - don't sneeze!

Stretching or even standing up straight took me quite some time Post appie. It does get better and that ball of stitches eventually dissolves. Speaking of long teeters has anybody had 411 on J2K. I probably an awful friend. I could just call him. I do know that 2 toddlers will keep you busy.

James always loved Anne’s moniker. James is a fellow fan of that Factory record era.

Stay in decent health A- I hope you are still helping find good homes for rescue greyhounds.

J2K came out of toddler duty to celebrate his 50th with some PAWineTalk(ers) a few weeks back . I couldn't make it, but I'm sure a good time was had by all.
