Hi all,

is there a tradition for USA to have (online) Black Friday offers for wine?

I am thinking if we could collect all the offers you see out there, and then maybe rate them (whether its a good deal or not)? I see a lot of products raising in price, just to be "discounted" in a couple of weeks. I guess many of you know a good deal on wine...

Please keep posting (preferably with links), as you find the deals, so will I..

Total Wine has the Cab.S. Amici 2016 for 49.99 (750 ml) or 89.99 for 1,5L, is that a good deal? (https://www.totalwine.com/wine/red-wine/cabernet-sauvignon/amici-cabernet-sauvignon-napa/p/20095750?s=928&igrules=true)

Welcome to the forum. My take is the deal is not good at all :D not that you are advertising for Totalwine...
if you posted some random personal sales list that's one thing.. I doubt totalwine is doing this type of advertising ;)

That said, the wine is not good / nor a good deal ;)

Welcome to CT.
So if you're new, and you're looking for wine deals, make sure you checking out the thread for "smoking deals at wine retailers" thread. (Just do a quick search)

In terms of "sales" anything advertised on a "black friday" or "top wines of 2019" sale is going to be something a major retailer is pushing and has a ton of that they're getting dirt cheap.

Use Cellertracker and the Wine Searcher integration to confirm what the average retailer is charging for something.

Is there a specific type of wine you like to drink and a price point you'd like to stick to? That's a better way to find some good bottles and suggestions from the forum.

Check out your smaller local stores. They may have specific varietals on sale (my preferred shop has Zin 20% off through Turkey Day). Some may also be participating in Small Business Saturday, the day after Black Friday, with deals.

Some individual wineries have Black Friday sales for direct buyers - I've seen those in my email box from being on their mailing lists...
