I love Celler Tracker and have been using it for about a year now. I'm moving to a new home with a nice new cellar. Does anyone have any advice on how to easily manage this transition in Cellar Tracker? Thanks!

My recommendation would be to download a copy of your cellar to Excel. Then from the INDIVIDUAL BOTTLE ply of the spreadsheet, make a new spreadsheet that incorporates the BARCODE column. In your new cellar, update each bottle with the LOCATION and BIN that you use in the new cellar and in essence do a full inventory. Then you can mail me the spreadsheet, and I can bulk update your locations and bins for all of the bottles (by matching the barcode ID's).

Pete,

I have been talking to some folks about Crestron integration, but it's not going quickly. If you shoot an email to marc@cellaradvisors.com, he knows a few installers who are looking at this. Meanwhile, some of the higher-end Crestron panels are web-enabled and handle CellarTracker pretty well.

I am glad the entry is going pretty smoothly. Generally most wines are there, so the less you type the better. People get into a lot of trouble (e.g. they make a lot of dupes for us to clean up) when they try to create wines field by field, but later today I hope to have an upgraded wine editor running on the site. It should make things a lot easier and a LOT less likely to get dupes.

Proposing an edit is great and is much better than cloning the wine and making your own. We are basically caught up daily on the edit queue, and when we look at those we tend to take a broader look around. Or if you run into something complicated or about which you are unsure, THEN posting here in the Errors & Corrections forum is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Pete, I sent you an email. We have a Crestron extension for CellarTracker pretty much ready. I sent you the link to more info in email. (We are not quite ready to post it generally.)

I agree. I caused a lot of extra work until I learned I should first post to the forum for clarification.  When the project is done you finally know how to do it!  I am still amazed with this site, I wish I had found it sooner.  Thanks Eric.
