Everyone's favorite topic.....wine glasses!

I want to add some nice wine glasses to my Christmas wish list but can't decide what I want or what makes the most sense without having 100 different glasses. I have great Riedel pinot glasses, majority of wines I drink are probably Syrah, riojas, or bordeaux blends.....is there a single glass I can get away with? Would the Riedel Extreme Shiraz glasses get the job done?

Riedel Ouverture red. They're cheap, and have a great, versatile, bowl shape.

If you want to go something more premium, I'd recommend the Grassl 1855 stem. Unless we're throwing a huge party, or someone requests a cheaper stem, Grassl is what you'll drink out of at my house.

My every day glass for reds is the Riedel Vinum Cabernet. For whites, we like the Grassl Mineralité. For special reds, I pull out the Gabriel Glas Gold.

My go to glass is the Riedel Vinum Syrah glass. I can drink anything out of them.

Love my Riedel Vinum stems, including the above mentioned Syrah glass. I also have some Schott Zwiesel stems, but most everything I own is Riedel.

My favorite wine glasses are made by Grassl. Beautiful glasses and excellent customer service.

Second (or third, or whatever) the Grassel 1885s. It's our go-to, daily-use stem and I now hate drinking out of anything else. Generously, but not ridiculously sized. We drink mostly Syrah, Grenache, Cab and Bordeaux style blends.

Have tried all the high-end Riedels, Zaltos, Gabriel-Glas, et al. Schott Zwiesel used to be my go-to, but now they feel like clunky, margarita glasses in comparison to the Grassl. Customer service is also great if you get the Grassl from Chris at cjfselections.com. (No incentive or affiliation, just have received outstanding customer service.)

Thanks everyone! I know there's a ton of glass threads, figured I'd ask just based on my wine preferences. But again, thanks everyone for entertaining a often asked question.
