I am catching up after a few months on updated content integration. I am in the midst of posting LOTS of new pro reviews:

* Steve Tanzer's IWC
* SommelierJournal
* James Halliday
* Champagne Warrior
* Rhone Report
* Terry Theise
* John Gilman
* Burghound
* PinotReport

And I also have new content in hand from:
* Jancis Robinson
* Mosel Fine Wines
* Peter Liem's ChampagneGuide

Hopefully I should get all of that integrated tomorrow.

All told this is about 20,000 new reviews, so it will take a few weeks to get them all mapped to wines in CellarTracker.

Hooboy, that was a lot. About 30,000 reviews. The automated mapper is grinding now on a batch of nearly 10,000 Jancis/Purple Pages notes. It should be done by the AM. At that point here will still be 5,000 to 7,000 mappings to do manually, and my assistant will be chipping away at those over the coming weeks.

Constantly. On a rolling basis. We have just done 10,000 this week. Is there a particular publication you are looking at?

We tend to pull in new Halliday reviews annually, and the last time was October of last year. I just pulled a fresh feed and will see about integrating those soon.

We have just integrated most of the Halliday reviews from the past year. We still have some work to do to complete this over the next several weeks.

Just dropped in new content from PinotReport, Mosel Fine Wines, Champagne Warrior, John Gilman, and Jancis Robinson. Coming shortly is the latest from Vinous. Still waiting for access to the most recent drop from Burghound.

Curious, what's the hit rate for the auto mapper?

Does the mapper also kick out suspected dups as a byproduct?

We get about 75% via automation (including the fact that many reviewers use the same wine name year after year).

I don't subscribe to Halliday (tend to buy the book every 3rd year or so), but man, am I grateful that you load his stuff.
The number of times I've posted TNs to a wine with no stockholding by anyone, ever, yet still appearing in the database thanks only to Halliday's note, well, I couldn't count them.
He's saved me having to create a shed-load of new wines!
cheers,
Graeme
