Tonight I switched up the domain that we use to serve up stylesheets, images and script files. To improve performance, we try and do this off a separate subdomain or now an entirely new domain. This avoids cookie roundtrips for each of these static resources which helps latency and performance. Everything seems to be working well, although with the new mobile site you may need to do a full page refresh once.

If you are having any trouble (which would result in the site coming up with no script, graphics or styles, please let me know if you can see this: https://ct-static.com/

You need to follow up with your ISP then or reset your DNS settings.

I've found that the single best thing that I can do to improve website performance is to simply plugin the google pagespeed module. It's available as both an nginx and apache module, and incorporates a bunch of web performance tunings out-of-the box.

Thanks. But we don't use Apache or NGINX. In fact, several years ago we manually did the work to do most of what Pagespeed does.
