For those in DC, we'll opening this way too soon, on May 20th at an offline our (Hellowine and my) house in DC. We'll be opening mainly champagne and Cab/cab blends, but if you are interesting in trying this. Check the DC Offline post, or message me, Hellowine, or email me at oldnjaded (at) gmail.com.

I would highly suggest you fight the urge as the wine was only put into the bottle less than 3 weeks ago. It needs a good 2-3 months to relax in the bottle BTW, I got a report from a very reliable source that the 2010 CT Napa Valley is showing very well right now.

Great advice! I'll do that for the other 3 bottles out of my share. I'm willing to sacrifice so that Team NoVA has a preview of what they are getting. Isn't that part of the fun?

I couldn't agree more. It is good to explore wines on their journey.

Did I miss shipment on these. I haven't been on in a while and I was catching up on things. I have the 2013's, but not the 14's. Did I lose something?

Reach out to Smig if you haven't heard from him by now. I just got my 2013 and 2014 wines this week.

Update, Smig has been great and my 14's arrived last week. I am going to have to open one, can't wait! Harvest grapes + 28 months in the barrel + bottle + ship = more time that you think. Everything was actually right on schedule, I just thought I messed something up.

Merry Christmas!

We have ours. It's in the hallway, tempting me. I'm going to hold strong for a week or two.

I have 2 cases within 9 feet of me. Must. Hold. Off. A. Bit. Longer...
I have a feeling less than 24 are going to the offsite.

It's okay - you can drink a few. You did, after all, pay for them AND 2014 is a relatively approachable year with a few hours decant time. You're too late for an official Pobega, but grab a corkscrew anyway.
