Just got the below message from Kosta Browne. Apparently the ecommerce provider had a significant data breach that included credit info from clients of many wineries.

Thank you for your continued support of Kosta Browne. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for our wines.
We are writing to inform you that our third-party ecommerce provider, Missing Link Networks, Inc. (MLN), was the subject of a recent data security incident. MLN notified us of this incident on May 27, 2015. You are receiving this letter because your credit card number on file may have been among the data compromised. It appears that list member names, credit card numbers, related payment addresses and dates of birth may have been compromised during the window of April 1, 2015 – April 30, 2015. Since MLN is widely used in the wine industry, you may be hearing from other wineries whose data was compromised in the same incident.
We assure you that we make the privacy and security of your information a top priority. When MLN informed us of this incident, we immediately took steps to address the issue. We have required MLN to delete all existing credit card information for Kosta Browne list members. MLN informs us that they are cooperating with law enforcement and the security compromise has been contained. American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover have been notified. However, we also encourage you to closely monitor your credit card accounts and immediately notify your bank if you notice any suspicious activity.
In addition to alerting you to the incident, we are offering you data breach resolution services at no cost to you. We have engaged Experian®, the largest credit bureau in the US, to offer you complimentary Fraud Resolution and identity protection for one-year. Please reply to this email to receive instructions in order to activate these services. Additional information about steps you can take to protect your accounts and your identity is attached to the end of this message.
We take very seriously our duty to safeguard the personal information of our valued members.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this incident has caused and we welcome you to contact us
at kb@kostabrowne.com with your questions.
Thank you again for your continued support of Kosta Browne.

And once that year's up you're on your own nickel to monitor your credit for the rest of your life.

Marriott was breached last week. I called them about it and was treated rudely and told there was no breach. Yesterday I got an email stating there was. If you have a Marriott Rewards account, check it and change your password. If you work for Marriott, please give your IT and Customer Service departments a big FU for me.

I log into every one of my bank and credit card accounts first thing every morning and verify charges, balances, pending transactions, etc... I also check my credit report and FICO score once per month.

Just got the same message from Outpost.

This company must provide services to a large number of the vineyards.

Time to get another credit card. I seem to be at a pace of about 3 new credit cards a year due to security breaches requiring a new credit card number.

Couldn't come at a worse time for me. Leaving for France in 3 weeks and the card I used for KB is my only chip & PIN no foreign fees card.

Which I also hate because just about every bill I pay monthly both for the business and my personal hit that credit card which means I get to spend a lot of time online changing everybody that automatically bills me.

Well, could be worse. You stuff could have been stolen by China in the govt. breach like mine.

Btw, I'll be in Paris from June 30-July 7th. If you are there, we should meet up. Just give me a heads up if I have to buy you dinner, lol.

My credit card company will overnight me a new card the next day.

Worth asking if they can rush given your trip.

Pride as well.

Yep, received the email from Pride today. A bit late since Marriott sent me an email five days ago with a questionable change, which they declined. So........new card on the way with no damage so far.

Are you all signing up,for the credit monitoring or just taking a wait and see approach?

I signed up with the free pass from KB, pretty simple. If you wait till it is a problem then it is too late.

I find it interesting that I am on the mailing list and have my credit card on file with at least 3 of the companies listed so far.
Only Outpost has communicated to me about the breach.

Nothing from Larkmead or Pride yet. Surprised that they wouldn't communicate to everyone at the same time.

Also - Outpost did not offer credit card protection. Only a notification and resources to try for support.

I will check with my credit card company, but will likely just ask for a new card (and all the associated hassles.....)

I'm on the Outpost list and have purchased - and heard nothing yet - find that both surprising and dismaying.
