I am a bit being on updating my inventory. Also I am sure there are many wines that have been drunk but that are still listed in inventory. Is there any way to check off current wines when doing an inventory update so that I can learn what wines are listed in my inventory that are no longer there?

I guess the most mundane way would be to print a list of all wines and check them off during inventory update- but is there a more efficient way?

Great question! I just created a new help topic to cover this:

Thanks for that!

I am trying a alternate method since I am not real swift with Excel

I have created a new location called "X Not Found" and when I inspect a bin and do not find a listed wine then I move that wine to "X Not Found". (I do not "drink/remove" the wine since I may have moved it, not consumed it.)

Then when I complete my inventory of all locations the wines left in "X Not Found" are batch consumed.

Do you think this is a viable method?

Sure, that would work, too. Depending on the size of the bins, it may be easier to relocate them first to a temp location, and then relocate back as you verify existence. Just depends on quantity of bottles you have to verify at any one time.
