+1

Fortunately the noisy neighbors were gone and there was no 90 Minute domestic dispute starting at 3:50 am last night.

I got up and pulled the corks on the two blind bottles.

Monday morning back in Texas after a whirlwind weekend!

A HUGE shout out to the Tampa crew for putting together such a fun filled weekend of food and wine!! Every event was fabulous, with big red wines paired with sophisticated, tasty dishes. A big shout out to the attendees who were all most welcoming - we experienced fantastic comraderie and we certainly hope to see you all again very soon!

I don't have many pictures but I have one or two I will try to put up when I get time (after work)....

I enjoyed meeting many of you for the first time and seeing many from previous events...it was a weekend to remember. Thank you all for sharing such great wine.
I was wondering if anyone had a complete and accurate list of the pour to impress wines from Sunday...my pictures are not very good and I am unclear about some of the vintages
and other details.

Hope everyone from out of town got home safely.

Sounds like a great event was had by all. Sorry to have missed it.

One day, this elder-care thing will be behind us & we can join in.

If we have any wine left…

Epic weekend. Many thanks to the organizers who made it happen. Lots of great wine drunk. 6 am flight was pretty tough this morning.

Here's notes (which also has all of the Pour To Impress wines).

A big thank you to the organizers and hosts of the event Mark & Larry and their spouses Claudia & Nancy. It was a great weekend and a lot of fun was had by all. Special thanks to Matt Buoncristiani for sharing his wines with all of us at the Saturday tasting. Really great to see those I got to meet last year again (nmw, mclancy10006, mindmuse, tannic beast) ,meet some new CTers this year (BornToRhone, annerk, Ibetian, KevinW, Billy Norris, Matt Buoncristiani) and hang out in the warm weather with those I know from NYC (mc2wines, Rackit & Smahk). A lot of great wines were enjoyed this weekend and while I won't declare a wine of the weekend I can tell you my favorites by event:

Old World Dinner - 2000 Chateau Pavie Decesse
Buoncristiani Tasting - 2016 Buoncristiani Triad Blanc
New World Dinner -1998 Penfolds Grange
Pour to Impress - 2009 Cayuse Bionic Frog
Bern's Dinner - 1942 Chateau Ausone

Here is a link to my tasting story in CT if you want to read my notes: tasting story
