I'll be in the lovely and interesting city of Portland, OR. in a few weeks, and I'm curious if some brave and dedicated souls might be available and interested in a dinner on this wintry Friday night?

I'll be staying at the Mark Spencer, no rental car, which is to say I think there's plenty of (very fine) options relatively close by.

I am guessing you will be in Portland, Oregon; not Portland, Maine?

I'd recommend hitting up Le Pigeon while you're in Portland. I love that spot.

Foie gras profiteroles with sauternes is not to be missed.

In fact, that's the very first thing/place that was recommended to me by a trusted foodie/local. I've not been back from my most recent trip even 36 hours, and the idea of something that rich just isn't appealing to me just yet. I will say, however, the the idea of going to Little Bird, is most appealing indeed. Good memories.

Plans are in motion, though it looks like some dates/times are still in flux, which is perfectly fine. Bottom line is if nothing comes together with locals, they've already provided a growler in my hotel room, so I'll manage

Glad to see it's raining now, but when I get there next Wednesday, most of that will have stopped.

fine 60s and 70s here in CO these next 7 days, giddy up!
