Hi,

I created a Google Sheets which was pulling in all my bottle data from CellarTracker to create an overview of where to find my different bottles.

Screenshot

This was now working very nicely for the last ~2 year. When I wanted to update my wine shelf overview I received an error message instead of the list of wine bottles.

My script was getting the data calling the url

https://www.cellartracker.com/xlquery.asp?User=" + user + "&Password=" + pwd + + "&format=csv&Table=Inventory&Location=1"

using my current login and password. So far this was returning a CSV with all my bottles.

Now I receive the following error html:

<html><body>You are currently not logged into CellarTracker.</body></html>

I checked the user & pwd and even changed my PWD, sadly it still doesnt work anymore :(

Are you aware of any changes or bug which might caused this?

Best,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I'm not aware of any changes recently that would have broken this. We haven't been touching that part of the code recently. When was the last time it worked successfully? Do you have any extended characters in your handle or password? Based on the error message, something with the User or Password is not matching up to the database.

Can you make a call using the same URL if you paste it into a browser on your computer? If that works, then it could be something with Google Sheets mangling the URL? I do see you have 2 plus signs after "pwd" in your string; not sure if that is a typo?

Dan

The cellar view excel developed by Richard Sandler that I had been using for 8 or so years also stopped working when I refreshed last spring. I was going to give the one anevard developed but so far haven't been able to implement iy yet.

Here's an off the wall suggestion... try (if you can) running that spreadhseet/script on your local machine rather than on Google Sheets. It wouldn't surprise me if Google's "cloud" didn't play nice with Amazon's "cloud" (to which CT has just migrated).

Actually we are migrating to Azure, not AWS. But we have not migrated yet other than our static content site which is not even involved with XLQUERY.ASP

Oh, OK. Sorry for confusing the issue then.

Also what is the &tab at the end of the URL in your script? That looks unexpected.
