The below wineries I didn't fall out of love with, just liked other "new" wineries more... also expanded more globally with purchases. I'm interested in revisiting purchases at these wineries, but is it a waste of money? Has anyone purchased and tasted newer vintages? Not looking for notes on older vintages.

Flora Springs, used to love their Trilogy wine
Grgich Hills, Zins and Cabs
Frog's Leap, Zin and Cabs
Miner, Cabs and Syrah
Trefethen, Cabs
Jarvis, Cabs and Cab Franc -used to be my go to very special occasion wine.
Blanking on other wineries that make similar style wines at similar price points.

Recent blindly and purely on cost (deals/sales) and nostalgia bought 2x '17 Frog's Leap Cab and 2x '17 Trefethen Oak Knoll Cab. Both sub $50. Should I be buying any other these older school Napa wines? At worst these will be used for nicer extended family dinners who will appreciate.

The 30-50 dollar Napa wine for me its always the most "dangerous" one since its almost a hit and miss and we are not talking cheap wine. There are so many that I have tasted but I think I have a special love for Twomey merlot since it was one of the first wine I ever started collecting. I am also fond of Faust and Caravan....but heck, there are so so many !! I know its another subject but for below $40 I think that Napa does a poor job compared to other countries. Argentina for $40 makes a killing and also Spain...but its another topic .

My understanding is that frogs leap went through a rough patch on Quality and consistency for a few years but is Roaring back now. the last bottle I had was a 2012 cab 4 years ago..as i recall it was very good and typical of Napa cabs. the newer stuff is supposedly better but.. i haven't had any recently

Frog’s Leap is made in an old school restrained style and is a screaming value for Napa Cab.
It is commonly available at Costco for about 45 bucks.

Yeah Pat, Frog’s Leap is still legit...and you have to love the price. They are right near Schramsberg I believe, so even better.

My wife and I both enjoy Trefethen, especially since they haven't gone the multi 100s kind of prices so many others have.

I don't think you can miss with Flora Springs Trilogy. Had a 2011 the other - it was awesome!
