I opened a link about employers asking invasive social media questions and the top ad is about how to pronounce Blaufrankisch (Lemberger). I like WA (and Austrian) Lemberger but so see this obscure grape pop up in my ads - and while my German (Hoch Deutsche) is rusty but I do know how to pronounce Blaufrankish (leaving out the umlaut). In years past I've suggested this grape (Defunct Oakwood (family friend), and Kiona) to others. Best case is they chose Blaufrankish because it sounded weird, worst case it is in my ad profile forever (OK, this is minor, rare grape in the USA, but part of the WA State Wine Project decades ago).

Blaufrankisch grows great up in Michigan and in NY. Good stuff. I will be picking up a few bottles when i visit.

In the support of Lemberger we now have this https://daily.sevenfifty.com/inside-blaufrankischs-global-comeback/ I remember arguing with my Franco-phile cousin that Lemberger is indeed Vinus Vinerfra. I'm a Lemberger fan.
