Otherwise, it's a safe bet for this bottling to end up with multiple entries. I almost made a new entry myself when I couldn't find it listed under Tsai Vineyard. Notes from the Goodfellow Spring release: 2021 Tsai Vineyard Chardonnay Cheryl and Jason Tsai bought the Elvenglade Vineyard the summer of 2021, and are currently in the process of seeking Organic certification for this cooler, Yamhill-Carlton AVA site. The vineyard is located in the far north-west corner of the AVA, with deeper, Jory, volcanic soils and a south facing aspect. Chardonnay was planted here in 2001 and the vines have the maturity to produce fruit with layering and depth. The soils give this wine a profile most similar to the Durant bottling, in terms of texture, and presentation. The 2021 is yellow fruited, floral with pear, apple skin, cream, pie crust and a minty hint of bright herb. Medium full on the palate this almost leans into the broadness of Chassagne, but ultimately has a nervier presentation through the back end and finish. Drink 2023-2035. 13.0% abv. 90 cases produced.
