It would be helpful if Non Vintage wines could have an additional, for lack of a better term, batch number, so NV wines purchased at different times can be identified as different but reported as a single wine. For example ZD Abacus is a Blend of multiple vintages so designated as NV, but also given a Bottling Number which is functionally equivalent to the vintage. I've also encountered High End champagne which a designated NV but also includes a bottling designation

Yes but for Abacus I would like to search for Abacus and see all the various editions grouped together not separated as different wines, treating the different bottlings as if they were different vintages

Do an individual bottle search on abacus. You will see one row per bottle.

I moved this to the data forum to see if Andrew has thoughts on how we have the wines setup, but the edition numbers are distinct and on the labels. So we are not likely to merge these all.

With the Abacus, what you are asking is the opposite of what is usually requested - keeping the different releases as distinct. These are fundamentally different wines too so keeping them apart makes more sense.

In the future, we would like to have a vintage-agnostic wrapper around wines that can be applied to cases like this where they are all displayed together with the ability to drill down.
