Eric -> London round two (9/20/2010 7:27:42 PM)

It is not 100%, but it looks like I should in London again this January. I don't quite know my dates yet but will let you know as soon as I do. Last year PJaines, TobyAnscombe, KingBing and KingKanu were so kind as to entertain me at the Hide Bar.

YoDaddyO -> RE: London round two (9/20/2010 9:04:06 PM)

I'm in!!

I have 2 daughters with birthdays on jan 10 and 11...as long as no conflict...i'm coming!

TobyAnscombe -> RE: London round two (9/20/2010 10:29:03 PM)

We will give you a better service than the Pope got at the weekend.....

Eric (and anyone else for that matter) - Would love to have you over for a glass or two. You must promise not to be quite so sensible though!

treetops -> RE: London round two (9/20/2010 11:07:49 PM)

I'll make sure I'm around this time to say hi to our two friends.

Khamen -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 3:18:28 AM)

Good show - sorry to miss the last one but will make an effort for the sequel.

rjsmall -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 3:30:56 AM)

Hopefully I will be there as well. Will you be here for work or for pleasure?

garethpowell -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 3:31:02 AM)

yup I'd aim to be around [:)]

Bryan Collins -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 4:00:11 AM)

Date dependent, I'd hope to be available.  Happy to arrange a nice offline dinner one evening at somewhere like The Square or The Ledbury if you'd like, Eric.

Hmmmmm.. Nice idea.

Bryan Collins -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 11:43:00 AM)

TT always welcome, of course - he's a good guy, but more importantly he's got a better cellar than me [:D]

kingkanu -> RE: London round two (9/21/2010 3:18:39 PM)

if i'm around it would be a pleasure, that early in Jan I should still be around

dinner could be nice

Eric -> RE: London round two (9/22/2010 10:37:07 AM)

My wife will be there for work, and as with last year I will be tagging along. Hopefully this time there will be less snow, and I will have less pressing coding to occupy me. As soon as I know my dates I will let you know.

Bryan, definitely also interested to try and visit The Ledbury again as well and likely will see if Keith Prothero can organize something as he did last year.

pjaines -> RE: London round two (9/23/2010 2:33:12 PM)

I'm in. Plus it is my birthday around that time of year so an extra excuse to have a wee dram. Eric - can you get Jancis to provide another bottle of La Fleur Morange 05? - that was great stuff.

Plus, if YoDaddy (or is it Yoda for short) is coming then we need to make sure we give him the usual Hide Bar "welcome".

Eric -> RE: London round two (9/23/2010 9:58:52 PM)

Paul, this time I will likely travel with rare American treats, Sine Qua Non, Quilceda Creek etc.

Khamen -> RE: London round two (9/24/2010 6:34:52 AM)

Now that sounds dandy - will find something special for the occasion

Wrighty -> RE: London round two (9/30/2010 9:23:33 AM)

If it's the 21st then count Hong Kong in. My (now monthly) trip will at least cover the 20th and 21st.

Wrighty

pjaines -> RE: London round two (9/30/2010 11:14:30 AM)

Wrighty - my birthday is the 19th.  We must meet up.

Eric -> RE: London round two (11/15/2010 11:18:28 PM)

Well it looks like I will be in London from Jan-10 until Jan-14. I don't know my schedule yet.

Your hard talkin has me weeping into my claret [X(]

Eric -> RE: London round two (11/16/2010 9:33:14 AM)

They took very good care of me last year.

fingers -> RE: London round two (11/16/2010 9:36:37 AM)

I guess the real test will be whether the actual pictures live up to what I imagine could happen when Paul, Toby, et al start bringing the farm animals into the Hide to meet Eric

treetops -> RE: London round two (11/16/2010 12:28:20 PM)

[:D]

pjaines -> RE: London round two (11/16/2010 12:38:09 PM)

They took very good care of me as well. I had the most pleasant, completely unconscious ride back to my hotel in a London cab. It was as if I left The Hide and arrived in my bed instantly. Never even knew I was on the left side of the road.

Yes, that sounds very familiar. I had the added pleasure of waking up in a hotel I had never been in before. Took me a while to figure out I was still in London.

Was there an unfamiliar person next to you?
