There is some confusion between the Bodegas El Nido wines and a Juan Gil wine. This is caused by both using striking silver labels. Please take note to avoid the most common mistake which is assigning the "Clio" wine to Juan Gil. Below are the labels and links to a vintage of the wine.

Bodegas Juan Gil 2005

Bodegas El Nido Clio 2004

Bodegas El Nido El Nido 2003

Thanks,

A.

still a little confused, not with Juan Gil, but with the  2 2005 listed vintages of
Bodegas El Nido Jumilla Clio
One variety = Cab, Mourvedre with an image of the label
The other Variety =  just Monastrell no label image

Are these 2 different wines

apes, no just a duple which I merged. Monastrell is synonymous with Mourvedre. The Clio is typically comprised of 70% of this variety with the balance of Cabernet Sauvignon. Fixed.

Eric, I see a note referencing this string applied to '05 Clos Fonta, a Priorat I had yesterday.  The only connection I see from the bottle to El Nido, Clio or Juan Gil is a sticker on the bottle that reads Viticultors Mas d'en Gil.  Could you clarify?

The "El Nido" note was flagging on "el" which is too broad, so I dialed it back to just "nido". But int his case if you search on Gil, yes the note will show up. Sorry, the search is based on your search keywords.
