I need my head examined just picked up 3 Vieux Château Certan 2010 2 each of Chateau Le Gay 2010 and 2011 , 4 Pierre Vessigaud Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes 2015 and 2 Château des Quarts Pouilly-Fuissé Clos de Quarts 2014 .

That's all quite sane and reasonable. You're fine

3 each of the 2010 and 2012 VHR Cabernet, plus the Nicolas Potet Clos de la Roche 2007 recommended on the other thread...

My larger problem is still the opposite one: how to deal with my surplus of perfectly good (sometimes sensational) Oregon Pinot Noir.

This is what happens with drinking less, and my son moving out west...

If you're a member here, it goes without saying that you need your head examined. My wife keeps threatening to take me in for a cat scan, but I hate cats so I refuse to go. Dogs rule!

A case of 2015 Ridge Geyserville. I can't get enough of this stuff. I found a great deal in OR, so no sales tax!

Nothing as exciting as a trip to Italy for sure. A few clothing items on sale from Amazon and a daily drinker lager from TJs for Dear Husband. Gives him a few cans of cheaper stuff to mix in with the good craft brew he has on hand.

Very few e-mails promoting end of year sales of anything. Only one winery. So not much year-end spending whatsoever. Not feeling like much of a consumer. That's OK.

Cheers!

I haven't the trigger, yet, but I received the release e-mail from Halcon, today. In addition to the latest Alturas Syrah bottling and the Oppenlander Pinot Noir bottling they are also offering a Pinot Noir (2016) from the Bearwallow (Rhys) vineyard.

Been diversifying into Bordeaux a bit. Picked up some 2014s. A btl of Pichon Lalande a btl of La Gaffeliere and 2 btls of Gruaud Larose. Then to round out the all French theme picked up a 6 pack of Vilmart NV Grand Cellier. Not going to be an easy month with Rivers Marie and Maybach coming up soon.
