Quit being a tease!  What is it?

I'm still stuck at the office and need to live vicariously through you for a few more hours.

That is such a fantastic wine -- how many Trilogies have you had? I spotted a 2000 and 2001 at a local wine shop, worth buying?

7:25. And it was beer.

Me olde mum always said "drink as much you like, but don't drink before 6:30pm, then you'll never be an alcheee". So far, the advise has worked.... ;)

Were you in my cellar?  I also popped a De La Terre.  Only a few left.  Can't wait to see what Dave puts out this year.

Later that evening Kid opened a newly cellared bottle of 2008 Carlisle Three Birds, at around 7:30pm.

Kid was so impressed, it forced him to refer to himself in the 3rd person for the rest of the evening.

I opened up a '74 Port that I made, well back in '74. I haven't had a bottle in perhaps 20 years, 9 left out of 3 cases produced. Squirreled away and discovered 12 years after we moved. A leaking cork caused me to pop and taste. Still pretty dog gone good. Moving towards tawny with nice but subdued fruit, only 16-17% abv. Very smooth and drinking nicely with some walnuts, an old Matt Kramer recommendation for port.

I had just a small glass of Oloroso last night, which suited my mood perfectly. Mas de Daumas Gassac 2007 for a little peek today I think

Just don't stop and stare at the woods too long on your way home. You'll get to that first pour faster!

1:35 PM and still at work.

2006 Penner-Ash, Pinot Noir, Seven Springs Vineyard.

Petting the dog, watching it rain. Bliss.
