2002 Nicolas Potel Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves. It's in a very nice spot right now; too good not to share with like-minded winos. The last bottle will be brought to an off-line in the very near future.

I'm assuming Potel is the equivalent of Motel and Hotel, plus "Potable"?

Yes, you can buy half bottles in the vending machines of Red Roof Inn and Holiday Inn Express.

What setting do you use on that Ninja for decanting?

I get more questions about that blender than any wine I've ever pictured. Maybe I'll start featuring a different small appliance instead. Hmmmm, coffee maker or crock pot?

Only once have I hyper-decanted a wine. It was a young Cab, and I don't even remember what producer. To answer the next logical questions: Yes, there was a noticeable difference. No, I would never do that to a properly aged wine.

While an excellent pairing, I don't think black truffle cheddar and ANY Burgundy would be good as a smoothie.

I have been on a bit of a tear. Lots of year end treats. 2006 Mugneret Gibourg Chaignot (Vosne comes to NSG) and 2007 Mugneret Gibourg Feusselottes. I may just move to Chambolle.

Tonight for BT, 2010 Drouhin Chambolle. So good. Chambolle is ruining me for everything else.

Never had Daniel Moine Hudelot wines before, the producer any good?

I came across a case of ‘93 Bonne Mares by this producer, being wondering if I should buy it!

I had one of those not long ago too and I agree. I had about four of all of these M-G and these are the first I've opened so I've still got a few of each for down the road.

The 97 was pretty good, but no 93...
(And no Bonne Mares)

You and I do love our 93s

Thanks Scott, will order it when I return from my Japan trip. Hopefully the case is still around.

Sylvian Pataille Marsannay Clos du Roi 2010. Deep and meaty - needs another 5 years to get the funk action going.

@mid--Decant or bury. It took a while to open, but then marvelous. I'm going to get HRH to email them and ask if they included any Cesar (I think so).
