This is where you should post on Reveal Day!

Ideas of things to post in the 2011 CT Secret Santa (USA Chapter) Reveal Day Thread (Sat., Dec. 10):
-- that you have opened your gift
-- thanks for your gift
-- curses that you did not get the bottle of Yellowtail (where applicable)
-- identity of your gift (if you so choose)
-- your guess as to who your SS may be
-- a confirmation or denial of another's guess -- only make such a post if somebody specifically guesses you as their SS (i.e.: if somebody correctly guesses that you are their SS, then you can post that their guess is correct; i.e.: if someone guesses you are their SS but you are not their SS, you can post telling them that their guess is wrong).
-- general banter

Once your recipient knows it is you that was their SS, it might also be a good idea to fill-in your recipient on why you gave them the particular wine that you did.

27 hours, 6 minutes, and 20 sec. away .... but who's counting!?!

Thanks to whomever sent me that awesome bottle of papillon. Now that I have opened the box early, the rest of you are free to do as you please.

Just kidding. Wicked lil elf

Ummmmmm ... okay ... you are being an arse.  You were supposed to wait to post about your bottle until *tomorrow*.  Hopefully your SS isn't tuning in until tomorrow.   You must have been taught at some up-State agricultural school of low regard ... or something of the like ...

Grafs,

Could you re-post all of the 52, SS participants so I can do some research. I can't seem to find it in the other threads, though I know its in here somewhere.

Our head elf is being mischievous. From the Head Elf's Master Thread:

"-- list of participants temporarily deleted to make it that much more difficult for mischevious recipients to determine identity of their SS -- "

Oh, and 8 hours, 35 minutes!

OK, so its Saturday 10 Dec where I live.  My SS left his name on the box.

I will tell you that I know this person.  Super guy and makes his own wine.  He sent me a SS gift and a bottle of his wine.  WAHOO!  I can tell you from last year that his wine was fabulous.  Served it at a dinner party and everyone said they would buy it.  Great Cali wine and I don't even fancy Cali wines in general.

He sent a bottle of CRU which I have never had and am looking forward to revealing tonight at dinner.  Thanks again to my SS.  Don't forget I still have your cooler.

Whoa! That's a lot of information from a name on a package that may or may not be accurate depending upon the mischievous nature of the sender or possible collisions between a number of CTers... Just saying.

4 hours and 55 minutes and you will know for sure!

I don't even know where the box is - Mrs. GtG has hidden it per my instructions and she's still asleep. Also, I've been traveling for the past 5 days and haven't touched a drop. Thus, I'm jonesing (or is it Jainesing ) to open a good bottle tonight. I can't recall if Reveal Day starts the all-out drinking frenzy, or is there a special Open Day looming in the future. In other words, I'm planning on drinking this bad boy (whatever it is) in about 12 hours.

It's 8:41am here in Tahoe and I am on CT while still in bed. My tongue and teeth are purple and I have about 15 minutes until I can open my box of love that I brought with me to Tahoe. I am sure that I will enjoy what I get, but I really want to know if My recipient will enjoy their gift.

Happy holly days to all of you. 8:44. Open....open....OPEN!

Holy crap!

I just went to get the box and TW has hidden it in the past few minutes. There may be a delay in the reveal while I punish her (after finding the box!)

She swears it is to keep me honest.

Holy guacamole, Batman! I must have been much better than I thought this year!

I received the 2005 Papillon. I'm a Phinney Phan, but haven't had the Papillon, so this is a great treat. I love that the bottle has the CT label on it; it's been in my CT SS' cellar since 2008!

As to my guess for my Secret Santa...

Well, the SECOND bottle in the package kind of gives it away: 2009 Dacalier Deux Barriques, signed by Santa Smig. WOW!!!

Thanks, Dave! I'm honored to be among the first recipients of this and blown away by your generosity.

CT SS RULES!!!

And a big thanks to our Head Elf!

p.s., I'm a little bummed that I didn't get the Yellowtail, but I'll get over it.
