Status: offline 		Another wine with a few twists and turns in its history, easily confused in the CT database. Here are a few entries that need to be tended to and fixed:

First - the current Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche label is written "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" and not "Vieilles Vignes" as is listed in CellarTracker - this is the case in all relevant listings of this wine on CT. I do not know your policy on such matters, if you drop the "Cuvée" for convenience or not, but I simply raise it.

Incorrect Entries:
During these vintages listed below, Domaine Ponsot only created one cuvée of Clos de la Roche and it carried the "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" label, so these wines below are incorrectly listed and should be changed to add "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" or "Vieilles Vignes" depending on the first point above:

- The "Cuvée William" was only produced in 1988 and 1989, and it was in addition to the Vieilles Vignes wine. The wine below should be listed as "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" or "Vieilles Vignes" depending on the first point, because the "Cuvee William" wine was not made in 2006:

- No "Cuvée Vieilles Vignes" was made in 1981 or 1984, only Clos de la Roche with no designation, so these listings below are incorrect, and should just read Clos de la Roche:

- Between 1932-1958, 1960-1963, and 1965-1979, only one cuvée existed (despite the vines being old, Laurent Ponsot's family did not write Vieilles Vignes on the labels), so all the wines below are incorrectly stated as Vieilles Vignes and should be without that designation:

In 1959, 1964, 1980, 1982 and 1983 BOTH the Vieilles Vignes and the regular cuvee were made.

Status: offline 		I started wading in but only made a few changes so far. I will stick with VV, but I added "cuvee" as a hidden search term to all of those wines. I merged the nonexisting Cuvee William.

I was looking at the 1981 and 1984. The latter has data from the Wine Market Journal (and this traded at auction). The former has a review from Allen Meadows that is clearly listed as VV. Are you 100% sure about those two never having a VV?

Status: offline 		My information comes from Laurent Ponsot, which means that it should be correct. However, there is no reason to change it if you have any doubts - not a big deal.

Status: offline 		I want to do the cleanup, but even when I looked at merging all the 1993+ into VV I had dozens of conflicts in user holding (with people claiming to hold both). Sometimes I wonder if the domain really knows what they have released, or it could just be aftermarket confusion.

Status: offline 		And I would also imagine people often do not pay much attention to the names on the label... all the recent wines are only VV, that I can guarantee you!
