Had a Tat Reserva SW with a Prairie Bomb the other night and tonight it is a UF-13 with an MOA imperial stout aged in Pinot barrels. I also had an Anejo 46 from 2009 earlier this week that was one of the better smokes I've had all summer.

Having an Avo No. 2 right now, while sitting on our screened porch.

Today is going to be a scorcher, so getting in porch-time while I can.

Had a Cuban Monte #2 yesterday that had a wad of sticks about a half inch from the end that I eventually had to cut off! Then it was wonderful!

Drew Estate ACID Kuba Maduro

Haven't had an infused stick in awhile but I tell you what, the combination of this with a big peat bomb like a Lagavulin 16 yr is this users' current formula for Zen.

Forgot to take a picture, but I smoked a Montecristo Edmundo from 2011 on Friday, and it was fantastic.

Last night with a couple IPA's, a Bolivar Churchill... One of the best cigars that I have ever had. Huge chocolate / cedar / leather flavors. Almost knocked me over it was so powerful ! Perfect draw and even burn. Wow ! Is it legal ??? Ed

Has anyone try this cigar ?

El Rey Del Mundo : Gran Corona (March 2001)

The closest thing I've had was a 2003 ERDM Choix Supreme, and that remains one of my favorite cigars to date. So I can only imagine that these will be very, very good...

Good score!

Yes, it is.
I just have time to test this, 13 years old, 2001 Gran Corona...a perfect conditions and very smooth from the start till the end. Even the size is quite big and long but I can enjoy it with Domaines Ott's Rose wine during dinner. Love it !!!

94-95/100

Dirty Rat with a Lakewood French Quarter Temptress tonight. Both are a bit over the top and sort of balance each other out.

{this past Wednesday} At the end of a lovely dinner, filled with a few, older, Dominus, and other aged Napa classics, (and a 750 of 1990 Sauternes) someone in the group mentioned they had a port, and asked, "is anybody interested?". But it wasn't just any port, it was a 1992 Taylor-Fladgate. To one-up himself, he also said he had cigars for everyone. Well, how nice of him to bring My Father Cigars Flor de Las Antillas. So nice, I just picked up a box of 20. But, they won't be delivered until next week, so right now, I'm going to have a Padron, 80 yr, with a tip O' the hat to drycab

Dumb question here but does Cigars have the same negative health impact as cigarettes?

Further, if i'm allergic to tobacco smoke, would i be able to smoke cigars?

Cigars are not inhaled (unless you are a true masochist). So the lung cancer deal is likely off the table.

But there is mouth & throat cancer, cancer of the jaw & other such nastiness.

And if you're allergic to tobacco smoke, you're allergic to cigars. Tobacco all the way.

Day trip to the weekend place to bring the dinghy up from the lake, enjoying an Oliva Series V under the porch, listening to the rain.

Cohiba Behike 54 - A gift from a friend which I smoked sitting on my deck on the Coast of OR last evening (rain finally stopped, sun moving in for the weekend) with a Laphroaig 10yr to start, then a '77 Taylor Fladgate for the second half.

Maybe the best cigar I've ever smoked, lovely draw and so very smooth with an excellent flavor profile.

I wanted to see the comparison of Scotch vs. Port, I have always leaned toward Port but I have to say I think the win went to the Scotch last night.

Well Done!
Cigars can be like desert and some will go with the scotch flavor and some with the port. But as with wine, it'll depend on your
palate. Mine leans heavily toward the scotch side of the scale and the cask strength single malts on my shelf are phenomenal!

I still can't drink red wine and smoke a cigar. I prefer a nice beer ( porter or stout ), port or a good Cognac / Armagnac. In fact, I will do just that tonight after dinner. Great idea ! Cheers, Ed

At one time we had 14 single-malts on the shelf. Now down to 6 bottles.

Can't figure out how that happened.

My cigar stock is critically low as well.

Had a Buena Vista Reserva after lunch today. I really enjoyed it. Nothing jumped out at me but it was just a nice easy smoke. On sale for $6 a stick right now at Cigar International and I am considering grabbing some.

Just chillin' today after returning home from up north, I sat on the porch and had a Padron, 1926 Serie, 80 Year Torpedo Maduro.

Finally getting some jacket weather in California and this La Colmena by Warped Cigars was the prefect match. A terrific cigar and I will be making a bulk purchase.

Cheers,

While watching Monday Night Football this week I had my first L'Atelier Extension de la Racine 2014, made by Pete Johnson. An excellent smoke.
