I'm collecting Havana from 2001, I love Partagas but my heart belongs to Trinidad.

Here are the half of my Havana collection since 2001 – Now

I still have Cohiba Siglo II and Bolivar Robusto from 2001, very smooth indeed. I have to finished them soon, I think it's fully matured and ready to decline.

On Christmas day, my wife and I spent all day cooking and getting the house ready, as we were hosting my family the next day for a gift exchange, dinner, and general merriment. Cooking and generally being domestic is basically my favorite kind of way to spend a day, so I was already in a great mood. That night, after much cooking and not a little drinking, we took our two pent-up German Shepherds to the park around the corner to get some ya-yas out. The park was completely empty and still, with not a breath of wind, and I enjoyed a Montecristo #4 (from Cuba, via the Netherlands) as my wife and I took turns chucking a light-up ball around the enclosed playground and watching the dogs play the caroms. A great time and a great smoke for a simple guy such as myself.

I had an Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto last night that I initially liked but after getting through half of it, it really had no complexity and was one dimensional (mainly coffee). Today, I tried a Tatuaje Reserva SW but it was horribly plugged and I didn't even light it. These usually are fairly tight but this one was terrible, so I grabbed something i knew would be good, a R&J Churchill ISOM and was rewarded with 2 hours of greatness.

Last night, an Ashton Ave Uvezian Maduro; hadn't had this before, a Christmas gift from TW, found it to be a very enjoyable smoke.

I just got these 2 boxes of Limited 2009 today and it's supposed to be one of the best Cuban for me. The Classic brand Bolivar and H. Upmann.

Is there anyone has a tasting note of these cigars ?

Trinidad Paradox Toro Box Pressed.

A good to very good cigar at a very attractive price point.

Just finished Bolivar Petit Belicosos (Limited 2009) vs. Bolivar Robusto (2001)

2009 was made to be perfect, very well-made, is just like drinking 2003 Screaming Eagle. Easy to enjoy all good elements. 97/100

2001 was matured, beautiful layers from the start till the end, just like drinking a classic wine as beautiful as Latour 1959. 98+/100 and lucky me, I still have some left in my private collection.

Great stuff !!!

Reading this thread makes me want to go home and enjoy a cigar tonight! Got a new pipe for Christmas and so enjoyed that the other night, but the cold rainy weather here just seems to be begging for a quality cigar.

Finally got to actually smoke a cigar in this cold texas weather. Bolivar petite corona. Several years of age on it. Probably 4-5. Super tasty! And a great way to at least partially break in the room that will eventually be a smoking room.

Cohiba Siglo II.

Not a smoker in general, and cigars usually makes me sick. But I found that cuban cigars are smoother and doesn't make my esophagus burn.

So I got hold of some Cohibas and some Romeo & Juliet. Cohiba is pretty "strong" but doesn't hurt - and they taste nice.

I'll never be a big cigar smoker, so getting a humidor etc. will never become an issue.

Starting to wonder if our Thai friend is in the smuggling business. If you are that is some pretty great stuff.

I have been digging some of Don Pepins cigars lately also. I have a handful of Blue Label Fundadores (Lanceros) with a few years of age that are smoking really well. I am also a fan a Tatuaje, which are rolled by Don Pepins people.

champagneinhand : @ Dubai Airport, There are plenty of great stuff with a very good price indeed.

Last night H.Upmann limited 2009 : Magnum 48 is full-bodied. I prefer Bolivar Limited 2009 but most of all, I'd like to buy normal cigars and age them by myself.

Next week I should go for Bolivar " Royal Corona " and Ramon Allones " Specially Selected " one box each. These Robusto are very good after aging 8-12 years.

Very great to have access to so many places. Anything can be found in Dubai, for the right price.

Yup. Good stuff.

Rolled in Pepins factory but blended by Pete Johnson of Tatuaje.
In my humble opinion, it's all about the blender, and the roller comes second.
Follow the blender for thats the person wat makes the flava.

Limited Edition from Havana is full texture from the start, good to smoke with friends but when I'm alone, I prefer the classic one that light from the start and full-bodied at the end.

Recently had a Cohiba Siglo V, one of my faves, really starting to round out and mellow as it ages.

The Ramone Allones Specially Selected is one of my favorite cigars. I also really like their Small Club Coronas

Small Club is the best Petit Corona for me and my 2nd best is Partagas Short.

Yep, both are definitely important. I may take the other side of this one as, given the choice, I would rather have a stick that is rolled right but with an OK blend than one that is blended perfectly but has construction issues. Luckily for both of us, there are many cigars that hit on both cylinders. I think you are right about the follow the blender thing though as a good blender will make sure it is rolled well as to not compromise the art they have created.

And I will add that I am having a DPG Blue Label Generoso tonight. Earlier this week I had a Fuente Anejo 46 and an Illusione F9 and I will confess that I enjoyed the F9 much more than the Anejo, which was a December 2012 release.
