No, yes, no, no , no , yes,. yes, yes yes yes, no.  BIG No.

BTW Texans, musedir is as much a PITA in person as he is on-line.  High maintenance.  His wife is lovely though.

That asshole in Yakima is a bad boy! A very bad boy! However, Mrilyn seems to have a fond spot for him. Dunno why.

Absolutely it would be great to invite another couple. Let me check in the morning if the restaurant can add 2 more and I will get back.
We will certainly have a lot of nice wines and adding a Wa wine or something else that rocks your boat would be great. The real question I have been holding back on is what would Ms. Musedir like. Would really like ot break something out to show our appreciation for her putting up with us :-)

Bump... No new news... Just feeling the excitement of joining you for the evening. Any changes? Should we plan to get a cab from hotel to Citrus? Are we staying white or going mixed? Finally, how much do our Dallas winos know about WA wines? Any interest in obscurity? Rotie? Trust? Buty? Sleight of Hand? DeLille? Just checking...

Looking forward to meeting everyone. Should we invite another couple who are with us, would that be a problem? Wine neophytes but always ready to learn. If yes, no problem as I have not extended any invitations as yet.

Dr. M liks white wines... Sancerres, SBs, Burgs, non-oak Chards, she likes whites. Oh, and if the occasion calls for it, she likes reds too. Keeps me hopping!

Of course, she will tell you that she is not all that fussy... But we've been together 36 years... I know.

Then obviously no need to bring anything from WA.

Dr. M and I will be in Dallas on Friday 2/15 and have a free night if its not too late to yell "Olly, olly oxen free!" We are staying at the Fairmont downtown... I'm bringing my collections committee to visit the museums and private collections of Dallas/FW. Fully understand the Valentine's Day conflict. Just wanted to toss it out.

If I would I would have noticed this post earlier, I would have made a trip to Dallas for this gathering. Let me know if you ever make it to Houston/Galveston. Between GalvezGuy and I, we will assure that you have plenty of wine to taste/drink.

Nope... A convert. The quality is high, the winemakers committed to excellence and the experience probably like Napa 25 years ago.

BTW, I am a loyal son of Virginia.

Well, it's over! We all met Musedir and his lovely wife and friends! It was a fun time with good food and even better comraderie! We tasted some great wines. The restaurant was mostly seafood which explains the wine selection being mostly white (for Mrs. musedir )

NV Champagne fouetté et sorbee blanc d'argila extra brut nv
1996 Duvall Leroy blanc de Chardonnay
2011 melville viogner estate - verna's
2011 force majeure viogner
2010 william selyem unoaked chardonnay
2001 chateau de fieuzal pessac leognan
2005 huet le mont vouvray demi-sec
2009 Miura pinot noir pisoni vineyard santa lucia highland vineyards
2007 Pierre Morey volnay santenots burgundy

Not sure we came to an agreement on WOTN but everyone has an opinion and they can speak up if necessary.

Company was great, Musedir did not drink us all under the table (tables are bigger in Texas), and everyone went home safe and sound.

Thanks to all participants - tonight is exactly why this is such a great group of winos! Safe travels going back to Georgia!!

Best regards,
Joe

Once again I've come to appreciate that the best part of CellarTracker is the chance to have offlines and meet fellow winos all around the country. Dallas was no exception! The gents and lasses welcomed Dr. M and my guests warmly, shared lovely wines and showered me with just enough heckling to keep me humble! A good time was had by all. Thanks for the gracious hospitality!
