39F overnight here is Tampa. Warming under a bright blue sky on a beautiful Thanksgiving day. House full of family, turkey in the oven. Going to be a great day.

Eddie,

If it were just Dr. M and me, you could count on us pounding on your door... But it's a long overdue visit with family that will completely occupy our thoughts for this visit. Happy Thanksgiving and stay warm!

Extreme cold headed this way. They are expecting temps much lower that usual for this time of year, and on par with lows in January. Worst part is there is no snow cover to protect plants. Curious to see how living in the city helps buffer the cold temps that they receive outside of town.

Serious blizzard conditions in Duluth... Do we have any trackers in Duluth?

None that list Duluth as they location. Maybe nobody drinks any booze up there. (Heh heh.)

5F here currently. And that is the good news, -9F this evening. I don't even want to know what the windchill is. Our great pyrenees is celebrating Christmas today.

We're supposed to hit 82F today and then drop all the way down to 20F by Friday morning. 62 degree swing. That is nuts.

50+ degrees today, snow this weekend. Last week when we drove from the city up to Buffalo we noticed that we started at 63 degrees and ended somewhere in the 20's. So I suppose can't complain too much - it was warm again when we got back to the city on Sunday.

14 F this morning and I brought my (still liquid) Riesling off the back porch.  Supposed to be negative numbers by the weekend.

err, this is in Yakima, WA.

Expecting half an inch or more of ICE tonight! It's also gonna stay cold all weekend which means the roads will stay iced over all weekend. Guess i'll be telecomuting tomorrow, stay home and pop a few corks this weekend!

You completely nailed it. The up side here is that the passive cellar is now at 57F. The down side is I have room for at least 3000 more bottles, but money for just 3 or 4 of them

Mid 50s today, winds are blowing in and Geese flying South, as temps will drop and snow Fri-Monday. Seems this happened last weekend too?

This sucks.

30F and dropping here. Wet stuff has started at my house. It's only a matter of time before it becomes ice. Areas nearby already posting pictures of ice forming.

7 degrees in Minneapolis and -8 for the overnight. I had received notice earlier in the week that my Bedrock order had shipped and I was more than a bit concerned, but too busy this week to make an inquiry of Bedrock. Then I got a notice from the shipper that they looked at the forecast and called the package back. An example of good non-shipping service?

Just took a walk down the block to look at everyone's lights--wine glasses in hand. Oh, and I was wearing flip flops, shorts, and a t-shirt. It's in the mid 70's. Just saying.

Went running this morning when it was a balmy 24°F, no problem. I was not wearing flip-flops..... Temps are expected to keep dropping and I hope to keep running until the temps go below 10°F. It would appear that the below zero temps will stay north of Chicago.

I have a good friend who is running the Dallas Marathon this Sunday. Hoping the weather improves for her.

Another reason I hope the Univ of Missouri has their post season bowl game in Orlando (Capital One)!
