At a certain price some of these wines aren't worth it. I can find Kobalt Cabs for $75 and Outpost Cabs at $85. Once they get to $100 I am out on these also. At that point my cellar will become more full of Syrah.Don't need no stink in' Cab

After I buy my Sandlands and Carlisle allocations, Arnot-Roberts Rose and Limerick Lane are on deck.

How do you like the Arnot Rose? Does it compete well with Mordoree Tavel RdB or LdR?

always have a hard time comparing rose's due to the style variations. Arnot-Roberts makes a very good one at a decent price. It is an annual buy for us. If one had to compare I would move more towards Provence. They are light and refreshing with a profile in the strawberry and melon spectrum. Nice stuff

Full Pull email today is one of my favorite producers from Washington, Savage Grace. I highly recommend both wines but especially the Chard from Celilo Vineyard (see favorite vineyard thread). This is probably the best QPR in the state imho. Not affliated with FP just a huge fan of SG wines.

+1 on the Celilo chard... Michael's cab franc's and his syrahs are also well worth seeking out

+2 on Savage Grace. Pedestrian priced wines of Collectable quality.
I'm a big fan of his Cab Francs.
Also, FP prices TPU are lower than SG clubs prices even after club discount.

I've been wanting to get some Savage Grace, but Berserkerday is this week, I just bit the bullet on No girls, wife says not buying wine is a good idea and the cellar is stuffed.

One of our favorites. Also do Pink Crack (Liquid Farm) and my absolute favorite is Pink Pape by Tranche (which is very Provence in style and good price and delicious).

I Williams Selyem and Ceritas are on deck for next week. Before the Ceritas save the date email came out, I had planned on picking up some WS Chardonnay. I have heard good things about Ceritas but have not had it, can anyone here provide a comparison of them? Anton gave this comparison on WB:

Ceritas is much more to the mineral, even higher acid side. Still ample fruit. Almost AFWE....I love it!

WS is more fruit forward, but delicate fruit. Not as tightly wrapped. Softer mouth feel. I love it, too!

Paul, I've had many of the WS, and a handful of the Ceritas. For me, it's a very easy choice, buy as much Ceritas as you can, forget WS.

totally agree with Ceritas over WS. One easy way to look at it for me is WS is Russian River Valley and Ceritas is Sonoma Coast and Santa Cruz Mountains. Both hold pretty true to the region style.

For Ceritas I personally prefer the Charles Heintz Vineyard but that is a personal preference vs. one being better than the others.

Another ++ for Ceritas. I really like Ceritas chards, and I actually do not like WS chards, especially the unoaked ones.

I really like those wines, but unless Kyser starts crapping gold nuggets, I'll have to pass.

Hard decisions of the 1%ers.

I received an allocation for Maybach today but had to pass, no shipping to SC.

'07 Maybach was the dog of the night at the south FL offline at drycab's place a few years ago.
(but pretty hefty competition)
