I just got my first offer for Carlisle. Haven't decided what to try, though I do like Zin.

back up the truck

I wasn't expecting Carlisle today.

Neither was I. Finally a QPR offer instead of a budget buster! Nice, considering the budget is already blown.

I will likely order a few Carlise whites and syrah. Skipping the zins for now.
I received my first Rhys offer today and will probably have to skip it due to funding deficiencies.

No Girls--check
Carlisle--check (case and a half)

How much Rhys I can afford depends on my Berserkerday preview next Mon.

Sojourn - check.
littorai - check.
Rivers-Marie - check.
Carlisle - check.

I do confess however that I did go much lighter than last year. Now Rhys and Beserker day coming up. Who knows what Nikki will have in store?

Since I'm already buying lots of LF I will probably pass on Nikki's offering. In fact I'm seriously considering buying only steak, olive oil and canned fish.

I'll only bite if there are some good backfills available.

Have you had any of the meats that were mentioned for Beserker day?

Ok, this could get scary. For the first time, I can actually order wine and have it shipped to me in Massachusetts! Is that good news or bad?? I've already ordered Outpost, Sojourn, Kutch and Force Majeure. I think I need to stop now, I might be over the legal limit already. I like ordering wine like everyone else!

They are ridiculously tasty.. really the best there is outside of Waygu quality.
Sadly, they are also outrageously expensive (for me)..

if the prices are reasonable, i'm in.

My sympathies, Eileen! Now you're really hosed! Good buys so far, but there's much more where that came from!

Paul, you received your first Rhys offer or an email telling you it's Jan 27th?

Joe, I recevied an offer, didn't you?!?

Ok, so really it was just the email warning of the 27th.

Carlisle noted in their release that they can ship to Mass. Sweet!!

Great wines if you can get them.

Got the BOND offer today. Skeptical. Went from $340 to $375 per bottle for the five pack ($400 for individuals). Felt like even @ $340 you could find them on the secondary market for less..... Also Abreu next week and Colgin, Ovid, etc. upcoming. Anyone biting?

add Realm next week and then VHR
Followed closely by Drinkward-Peschon and Continuum

Scarecrow should be close as well.

Scarecrow - good? Expensive? Needs a decade in the cellar?
I think I may always be on the waiting list.

Gulp - Just researched on CT. Looks like ~$400 each, and would need to age 8-30 years.
It's probably best to never get off the wait list.
I do not need to develop a taste for this one.

It's extraordinarily good.
I think it's $250 on the list and it will NOT age 30 years IMO. 8-10 would put it in a great sweet spot. Maybe drycab will render an opinion.

Good, cause I'll probably last 10, but not 30.
Whether I'll remember I have a wine to drink in 10 - that's a different question.

Yeah, I've been getting a ridiculous amount of mailers...Bryant yesterday as well, and VHR and Keplinger soon in addition to those that have been mentioned...have passed on pretty much everything so far, but will probably pick up my Scarecrow to keep the vertical going. Yes, it's 250 on the list (or at least it was last year!).

This is a first for me. I have been on the QC list for about a year and have pulled the trigger for the first time on a mailing list wine offering. Now I need to consider getting a wine storage unit down in Washington so that I can bring my purchases up four bottles at a time to avoid the taxes...

I actually made the QC list this time but have decided to pass. I have had QC a couple times since I signed up on the list and I am just not sure this is restrained enough for me. Did I make a mistake?
