Brilliant choice. I may join you in this exact selection later. Only my Key Limes will not be sourced from your tree.

Ah yes, i remember the old thread. I opened a Maison Harbour 2015 Bourgogne blanc for tonight's dinner with grilled Tilapia. 90 degrees outside....feels like Texas!

I went with the 2010 Orion, from Thackrey. Unfortunately, the wine seems disjointed and was not what I had expected. And this on top of the 1998 Bonneau Celestine, which was a full-on collapse. Sad. What will it take to make my wine cellar great again?!

I have total confidence in you Professor.

BTW--for those who were not around for the original thread, it was beer for breakfast on a Monday holiday (President's Day I think).

Yum, well done, Scott. Should have joined you. As it was - 4 big beers and quite a nice 28 ounce (800 gram) ribeye steak, well smothered with mushrooms and jack cheese.

We returned from vacation Saturday and I had gained four pounds. Between too many cookies and too much beer and wine, I will be taking it easy this week.

By the date, the holiday appears to have been Memorial Day.

Oh, and I've also had 2002 Lynch Bages:

MFP is a 2002 Lynch Bages. Not the most powerful vintage, but an elegant mid-weight.

I'd say it was a heavyweight in one aspect: the pencil shavings odor.

Beer for breakfast? I'm fine with that, for other people. I personally don't see the attraction, even on Monday morning, but if that works for you...

Like Paul, it will be a fairly dry week for me, at least until Thursday or Friday. Some inlaws coming in town this weekend so champage will be involved.

A little late to the MFP thread here, but yesterday we slaughtered 2 bottles of white wine in front of House of Cards..... c'est la vie.

I believe the booze was......erm.......cold and wet. I honest can't remeber what it was - probably French. Close enough?

2017 Rhys Alpine Pinot Noir, from 375ml.

The best payoff for all that we invest into this hobby/passion of ours, are those occasions where we feel like we're drinking the perfect wine for the moment.

I hit a nice little jackpot tonight

2021 Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Rosé, a grenache from Languedoc. Nice for a simple cheese and cracker dinner.
