So, besides wine my other passions are food, travel, sports, cars, motorcycles and music. My music tastes would be permanently stuck in the 70's and 80's and occasionally the 90's. I'm a big Amazon Prime Music junkie in addition to 125 GB of downloaded music starting with Napster and everything that came after that.

What do you like to listen to? I went to Amazon Music tonight and found ZZ Top Tres Hombres and Fandango. Two of my early albums I purchased. There's nothing like great music no matter what you like. Sorry if there are older threads on music but was so stoked on the ZZ discovery. Cheers

I have a cellar full of it, just purchased another case, 10 of which are cheap Bordeaux I already know I like and want more of. :)
No thread about my adventure thus far, just occasionally shared notes in the usual ongoing threads.

Anybody like Spanish acoustic stuff? Paco de Lucia, Armik, Ottmar Lieberman, Nova Menco, Alex Fox, Behzad?? I listen to everything pretty much but after Classic Rock I love this style of music next. Followed by Blues, Country, Jazz & Smooth Jazz, Bluegrass, Classical.

Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones. Probably in my Top 5 songs of all time! Amazon Music, too.

Make a thread! Are they for now drinking or later drinking, or a mix of both? I'd love to know what you've found.

I'm into The Vampire Diaries/The Originals soundtracks right now. Lots of great Indie music.

I tend to listen to older Rock, newer Bluegrass, and non-mainstream country (Americana?).

I've bought a lot of music from both Tim O'Brien Darrell Scott in the last year or two.

This. I know it's hard to use the search on this forum. Repeat threads happen a ton.
Driving home from a wine dinner I had random on my phone selected and I listened to a bit of Queen, Springsteen, Def Leppard, and Robert Palmer. I did skip past some Offspring, Jimmy Buffet and some Techno, I just wasn't feeling it. Mellencamp and Nirvana rounded out the drive.

Maybe Eric can merge the threads? My bad. I started this and always search but maybe didn't do a good job of it? Sorry. Queen I just rotated through my 128GB Zip drive full of music. Great Nostalgic stuff. Def Leppard LOVE. I play guitar so kind of stuff I play...a lot. Love everything you mentioned. Offspring is classic. They are in their own world. Mota...lol. I speak Spanish so funny song. Techno...maybe not. Lol

Uh, pretty much Zappa and RUSH is about all the road music I need. Jazz and acoustic guitar while relaxing. Cant stand much radio music and even with Sirius, rarely hits my favs.

This. I probably listen to Deep House more than anything these days but I have pretty broad range. Lately, I've been intrigued by the whole Future Beat/Soulection sound...fresh for sure. For anyone that cares:

I had a rare good night's sleep, and woke up in a rockin' mood....so I've been taking advantage of youtube this morning:

Box of Rain -- Grateful Dead
Helpless -- CSNY
Coming into Los Angeles -- Arlo Guthrie
Let It All Hang Out -- The Hombres
Time Has Come Today -- Chambers Brothers
Green River -- CCR

On Deck:
Green Eyed Lady -- Sugarloaf
For Ladies Only -- Steppenwolf
Soul Kitchen -- Doors
Out In the Country -- Three Dog Night
Rain Dance -- Guess Who
America -- Yes
Legend of a Mind -- Moody Blues
Rolling Stone -- Humble Pie

Come to think of it, those songs would make a great sampler album for that time period.

Box of Rain is a true winner. I'm listening to Alexa's selections of Ludwig Van...

I've been listening to that song over and over for about 3 days now. No matter how often I hear it, it always sounds great.
