Eddie, don't sell them short. As a current honorary guest and past member of the Dallas CT
contingency I have no doubt there will be people chiming in. If I remmebr correctly, we tried
hard to corral you in at one time without success.

I had no wheels, and couldn't get anyone to drive to Fort Worth. Apparently driving time from Plano to Fort Worth is daunting, especially if consumption of adult beverages is involved.

Tim,

I'm a maybe at this point. I'll need to look at my work schedule and get back to you. Long story short Plano is almost an hour each way for me with traffic and not the easiest on a school night.

I've emailed this thread to some other locals that up nearer that area to see if they are interested.

Joe

btw, I'll let others chime in here first but Monday night is harder than a Tuesday night from a BYOB perspective. Not a lot of places open on Monday night that allow it.

I'm not too terribly far away from there but with kiddos and being a school night it would be tough for me to swing it. But I do want the thank/blame you for my current obsession of Sicilian wines. Had a 2014 I Custodi Etna Pistus last wednesday and it was fantastic.

Tim,

So far the guys that have responded to my email seem to be leaning towards Tuesday night as being the better night of the two.

We have one vote for this place:

MoMo Italian Kitchen on Forest Ln

and another vote for this place:

Mr Wok Asian Bistro in Plano

Tim is a corrupting influence that way. He also shoved me down the slippery Sicilian slope a few years ago!

Tim, waiting for others to sound off via email and confirm but right now it looks like we can make something happen Tuesday night, likely start time at 6:30 PM at MoMo's on Forest Lane. Not too terribly far from where you'll be working / staying. Italian food. Feel free to bring something Italian to drink. Hopefully you can find something in the cellar.

wow, Joe, what a nice thing! I had expected to maybe see one or two CTers this trip - being last minute, and in the middle of nowhere, erm, Plano ;-)
So thanks for mustering some troops, and thanks to any troops that make the time. Now that it appears I'll be properly received in TX, I have absolutely nothing to wear, my hair is a mess, I have yet to pack any of the 3 suitcases I'll need, etc.

I will probably bring a mag or two, and a phone charger, to hell with the rest of it

so, it looks like Tuesday is a go, nice. As for tomorrow, I've packed a bottle, as it looks like I'm on my own. But, if someone else has bandwidth tomorrow eve, I'll pack a 'different' bottle. Either way, it's good. I'm thinking Covino's Pizza...

Need to give an appreciative shout out to the Plano crew for a fun night. I thought the MoMo setting was brilliant and would return there without hesitation. Thanks to all those that made the effort; the mix of wines was fun, interesting, and enjoyable.

Good seeing, you Tim! In all fairness, only one person was actually from "Plano" with the remainder from the surrounding cities. Heck, WIML should get an award as he drove about 40 minutes to get there from from his place!

40 minutes? Pfffft, that's only around the corner! We drive 3.5 hours to go to the CT gatherings in CT, and 16 hours for the Central Florida off-lines.

Alright, the Florida thing was part of our Spring Training pilgrimage, but it sounds good saying we drove that far for wine.

Where did sourdough go? I thought Plano was his stomping grounds. The TX crew has left me in the dark, but good peeps to hoist a glass with.
