Also good to have some bubbly rose around.
But the real surprise and excitement is the 2019 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance. I know nothing nor ever tried a SA dessert wine. Will need some suggestions on this one... how to serve and with what???



My guess is pending... my guess is Oskiwawa. As you have in your cellar.

My son had 3 sports today, my daughter had 2 and I got caught coaching and driving between them, then we had a family cookie baking at my mom's so I didn't get home until a couple hours ago and it didn't dawn on me until I put the kids to bed and noticed the alert on my phone.

Santa got me a bottle of 2019 Double Lucky by No Girls/Cayuse and Lyndenhurst by Spottswoode. Based on being sent from Maine as well as the overlap of wines in his cellar I am guessing Dad300.

I have not tried this producer before but this grape and sub-region. I hope you enjoy. Figured should be in your pallet range and something new.

We had a very busy weekend (hosted/prepared big dinner on Friday, wedding and kids' events Saturday and Sunday) and Secret Santa just totally slipped my mind until I saw the box in the pantry this morning. I am so sorry and totally understand if I'm on everyone's naughty list now.

Thank you to my Santa for the 2019 Passopisciaro Guardiola. It's not a wine, or an area, I'm deeply familiar with, so I'm looking forward to giving it a try when the (wine's) time is right.

Wanted to post, but going back to read the thread now. Hope I didn't ruin anyone's fun by being so awful at the game play.

EDITED TO ADD GUESS: My Santa was a sneaky one, shipping the wine through a vendor, Woodland Hills, making my job a lot more difficult, even at this late date. Taking a wild stab in the dark, based on similar wines in their cellar, Endodr, are you my Santa?

Probably made it too easy by sending a Bedrock—the largest producer in our cellar—but did try and throw you off a bit with a white. Morgan (Twain-Peterson) really does know his way around a grape and think the wine he's making is some of the very best bang for the buck going. Pretty hard to go wrong with anything from his line-up, and this is at the tippy top of his whites. (Think there's been a grand total of one of his bottlings I didn't really enjoy.) Hope you agree and Merry Christmas!

Mark, how'd you make out fishing?

And I can tell you that you won't have to throw out any more guesses because I am indeed your SS. Enjoy! Did you read the note that came with the wine and figure it out that way? The line on there about having a small cellar was my attempt at a hint.

To throw off my recipient, I removed all wine from my cellar and shipped from a different location- I may have gone too far.
