NV Suenen Champagne Grand Cru C + C Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
NV Suenen Champagne Grand Cru Oiry Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut

Because I suck at CT, my pending number (57) did not drop at all with the arrival of these. I'm pretty sure that these are the last bottles I've purchased but not logged in CT.

But I wouldn't bet on it.

My first purchases of Carneros Las Madres Syrah. Let's see what all of this is about:

2010 Quivet Las Madres Hulda Block Syrah
2013 Quivet Las Madres Hulda Block Syrah
2013 Myriad Las Madres Ester Block Syrah

If Mike Smith says Las Madres will be to Syrah what To Kalon is to Cabernet, then who am I to disagree.

Added some bottles of 2014 Outpost Howell Mountain to go with my 100 point 2014 Outpost True Vineyard. My last 100 point wine I bought was 1990 Chateau Montrose. Or was it the 1989 Montrose? One of those.

I think you should drink one now and let us know how long to wait.

My real answer is probably 2020 or later at least. I've let all my DuBrul red wines, Owen Roe, Cote Bonneville, JB Neufeld, Rasa Creative Impulse, rest a long time unless I've had a whole case or so and wanted to watch them evolve. They are typically not exactly overpowering but the tannins need quite a while to resolve and most makers use lots of big oak with them too, which adds to the wait time. I don't know or remember the oaking regimen on this one other than it was a single barrel.

I sometimes get a chance to taste these before buying, but obviously didn't with this one. I haven't heard anything lately from Hollowine about a release party next spring for the other recent CT Barrel wines, but that would be a good time to share on e of these too to get multiple folks taste buds on it.
