Bouquet: Tobacco, earth, smoke, leather, floral, dried red raspberry and red cherry.
Flavor: Earthy, tobacco, bright red raspberry and red cherry, spice, smoke/wood, and coffee. Finishes with a return to the bright berry flavors. 20 sec finish. Has aged beautifully and is underrated in my opinion. These notes were taken between the 2 and 4th day after opening (half bottle kept in the fridge). The first day showed more of the fruit character up front with the secondary characteristics following afterward. Read a note that said this vintage used only the best grapes, though I'm not quite sure what that means (Pergole declassified?).
