Delicious and deep. Notes of tobacco and leather but also dark fruit. Opened up nicely after a while.

Again - whomever is setting the drinking windows for Pinots needs to reassess. This was lovely at 12 years old. Smooth, fruity, everything a California Pinot should be. I loved it.

Jesus I read the prior reviews to make sure I was sane after my notes. Talk about variability. Maybe I kept it better. Who knows. Alright...

This is good juice. Deep inky purple, opaque as hell, stiff legs. 15 years, and not even flecks of orange on the rim. Multiple light sources and tones, no signs of age. Its in the middle, simple reason why because it tastes like its in the middle of evolving. Decanted 4 hours.

On the nose, its black/purple fruits all day, ripe plum foremost, light blackberry, sweet vanilla fun dip stick very present, oak, lilacs, and black tea oddly enough. I drink a shitload of tea. Its a fantastic nose, and not all at once, it took time to sing well. Nothing unpleasant. Palate, sweet stewed plums, rich like, blackberry, its smooth and pleasant in acidity. vanilla coats the mid with a medium(-) acidity and ripe smooth tannins moving to the back and a medium(+) finish.

I am thrilled to have one left, and its going to sit for at least 2 more years to see what happens before I get greedy and want this again.

Overly exceeded expectations compared to others. My 93

Full bodied, dark fruited. Like a CdP but still tannic 15 years later. The fruit is still present but the tannins are outshining it now. Given the elevated alcohol, I don't think this will age too much longer or gracefully. Not all wines live forever.
