Medium garnet. Moderate nose of strawberry and red cherry, blackcurrant and sultana, and spices, tobacco and savoury notes of cedar. Full bodied and high but not aggressive tannins. Black cherry and plum, greenery and underripe herbaceous hints and more spice and tobacco on palate. Long finish with great complexity.

3/9/2024 3:56:00 PM - Ahh. This might have been a mistake when I transferred my notes to cellartracker. Reading my review, seems like it should have been closer to 90. Have updated now - good pick up!

(Drinking again in 2020). Dark ruby in colour. Pronounced nose of dark fruit, plum, blackberry, wood spice from oak, and hints of savoury notes starting to develop. Medium+ acidity, high tannins, full body, high alcohol. Flavours of rich ripe fruit, red plum, blackberry, stewed cherry. Medium+ finish. Starting to develop more complexity and secondary flavours. Drink now or cellar to 2025.
