Dunkelrot schlieren etwas braun am rand. Beerig holzige Noten in der nase. Rund ausgewogen balanciert im Mund. Dunkelrote Früchte feine noch präsente Säure Paprika holz gut eingebunden sehr elegant frisch trinkanimierend aber auch noch etwas anstrengend. Würde ich noch 2 Jahre liegen lassen.

For a Claret drinker, this was a fascinating wine which, in many respects, contradicts what a "good" wine should be. There is little complexity here, but a wonderful array of curious flavours and textures, and behind it all something that tastes of coffee. Some have found "dried wood, plum, gravel" . So, this is a wine for someone who is thinking (drinking) outside the box.

I miss the brightness of tone and clarity that comes with Cabernet Sauvignon, and I miss the aged wood. So I don't think this will be a desert island wine for me. But now I've said that, I think there is quality wine-making here and depth in this wine that will repay future visits.

It does get better and better in the decanter, gaining more subtlety, so perhaps it is ultimately heading to 93.

    11/27/2020 11:48:00 AM - I would agree. Just opened a bottle and my firstbimpression was: opened up too early. Sure it will get better after one hour but still it will be too early.
