Brett, oak (butter bomb), citrus, apple, nuts, butterscotch and hay and on the nose. Oak, citrus, melon and clean minerality on the palate. Acidity, alcohol and oak get a little disjointed (astringent) mid-palate, which prevents this from being superb. Medium/full bodied with very good mouthfeel. Tart and almonds on the medium finish. I think the '06 is just a bit off as a vintage and they seem to be losing their fruit rather fast for Aubert. '04s are much more vibrant and nuanced than the '06s at this stage.
