Thin, rather tart and acidic. Tasted over 3 hours, hoping it would evolve. Picked up for $25 at Safeway, I get why it was $8 off.

No formal notes - drank w/Drazi and it was great. Needed an hour of air in the decanter to really start opening up.

Keithgg hit it spot on. 2006 Rochioli pinots have been thinner and a bit more on the tart/sour side than the 2005's, which were spectacular. It's good, but after a 60-90 min decant.

Ken nailed it, at least at the 30 minute mark. Will reserve rating, as notes from people I trust below recommend decanting for several hours. Vinturi'd into a decanter, then poured 30 mins later. Very, very tannic. Kinda sour/tart, too. Night and day difference from the Butterdragon, which has oodles more finesse.

Not at all consistent with previous bottles I've had. Wine was anything but thin. No formal notes from dinner, but I had brought this specific bottle because I expected it to be a bit of a clunker like the previous two. Don't know if the others were off, or if it just evolved slowly, or what, but this was much, much better.

Consistent with previous bottle - chalky tanins, exceedingly hot and required lots of time in the decanter.

Could not be happier with this wine, given the $18 price point. Did not notice the oak anywhere near as much as the others, and I'm not a huge fan of oak in my chards.

Brown tinge, bit of reduction when I pulled the cork. A little on the tart side, with alcohol clearly showing through. I'll bet this was fantastic young; it feels like it's falling apart now. I've got the opp to buy another one at $35 and I'm going to pass.

Previous comment stands - thin, tart, disappointing for Rochioli, ok for a $30 pinot.

Have to say, I was incredibly surprised. No browning/bricking, the wine looked like it was bottled yesterday. A bit tart out of the gates, it gave off a brown sugar nose (Kistler-esque?) for a bit and then mellowed out to a more sweet, raspberry profile. Great stuff

Great stuff. Not common to see a pop and pour Napa cab (blend) that's just singing. This one was. ~$110 on a restaurant wine list, what a blessing to drink at home on our anniversary.

Decidedly mediocre. Wine was hot on the nose, unbalanced and tannic. Decanted for 2 hrs, poured back into bottle and brough to restaurant. Maybe this needs 5 years, but this wine was a mess and pushed me to pass on the 06.

Opened for a friend last night who really wanted to try it. Would have been better to wait... this is in a much better place than it was right at release, and continued to benefit from a long decant over the course of the night. No formal note, aside from "it goes well with pork chops." Wait.

I clearly had a different bottle of wine than the ones listed below. This was pure honeycomb, some baked pear, some apple and a little bit of oak. Great finish, just an amazing find at $23.99. Paired PERFECTLY with linguini and clams. Just a steal from the shelves at Whole Foods.
