Decanted 3 hours on Thursday, put the cork back in, and then drank Friday night. Light bodied, elegant with strawberries, rhubarb, cinnamon, and Xmas spices lingering into a long finish with earthy notes.

Magnum and decanted 8 hours prior to consumption. Needed every minute to open and express itself. Consumed during the second half of the Super Bowl. It was vastly more interesting than the game at that point and all in the room were thankful it was a magnum as sorrows needed drowning. Classic CdP. Enjoy!

Decanted 3 hours. The wine showed no Pinot characteristics, nor Oregon profile. Reminded me of an aging new world styled CdP from a warm vintage. Stewed fruits and a rich full bodied palate. The previous bottle a few years back was much better. After a glass, I moved on to something else.

Decanted two hours and returned to the bottle for 4 hours. Should have given it three hours, but it was a fine showing none the less. Highlights were a medicinal herbal component much like a fine Amaro and a rich savory earthiness that hinted on Tahini sauce. It was still changing in the bottle up to the last glass. Magical.

Decanted at 2:30 and consumed from 7:30 to 9. Beautifully integrated and expansive. From first to last glass, a pleasure, but the last 1/3 of the bottle showed another level.

Decanted 3 hours prior to the start of consumption and the wine was just beginning to show. By the end of the fourth hour in the decanter, the finish was beginning to show the potential of the wine. Lesson learned. Sadly, this was a single bottle purchase, but I would buy again if I can find the vintage.

Decanted 3 hours prior to consumption. Tasted after 1.5 hours in the decanter, there was minimal fruit and the finish was still tight with a tannic grip. With the extra 1.5 hours of air, the fruit emerged, nuances appeared, and the tannins melted into a long finish. Ahh, the power of cool climate Pinot, biodynamically farmed and spontaneously fermented!

Venturi'd into the decanter and then decanted 45 minutes prior to serving. Now I enjoy elegance and subtlety in my wines, but this wine needs an amplifier. I even let the wine warm up to just slightly chilled and the flavors and finish are still muted. The folks at the Wine House SF were big on this one, don't know why; they must be trying to get rid of it. Not sure I'm even going to finish this bottle as life is too short and there are other wines in the house. $24 not well spent.

Smoke Tainted. If you can look past this aspect, the underlying wine is quite nice. For me, I wish they had told me so at the winery when I asked as I would have purchased the 09 instead and cellared it.

Decanted 30 minutes. I needed a 1/2 bottle on labor day and whole foods was the only wine shop open. I figured was 07 good vinatge. It had some bottle age. I normally enjoy the profile of Sonoma Coast Pinots and the sign said dry and earthy. Not exactly what I was hoping to find. Wino Tim and BruceB nail it and are perhaps a tad kind. Over-priced and underdelivering.

Decanted 2 hours prior to deciding that if this were Tuesday and I was having pizza this wine would have sufficed. Since it was Thursday and I was heading to Dopo, I put this wine back in the bottle and opened a Quintarelli instead. Day Two, downhill even farther and down the drain.

Decanted 1 hour. This wine never found itself even after several hours in the decanter. Still youthful with fruit, it just never managed to find a cohesive palate. Described best as an awkward teenager, hopefully, this wine will do something down the road. Will forget the other bottle for good long while.

Decanted 1.5 hours prior to consumption. The more air it gained the less French it became. Strangely it was earthier, funkier and less fruit foward after 1.5 hours after being decanted then 2 hours. As the night grew on, it became more fruit foward and cherry driven. A very lively wine. Enjoy!

Decanted 1 hour before consumption and cumsumed over 1 hour. Upon entry to the palate the fruit is lively and fresh before the wine settles into what one would expect from a 10 year old Rayas blanc. Plenty of life left here. I think I'll shop for an older vintage to see what a fully mature Rayas blanc has to offer.

Decanted 4 hours prior to consumption and cosumed over 1.5. Two hours into decanting the first taste is disjointed between the fruit and acidity and frankly disappointing. Wondering almost if the bottle is off. 2 hours later, the wine has integrated and is all that I expected it to be. As Tim put it, the Rayas footprint all over the nose and palate. The last sip was the best of the bottle which leaves me to regret not decanting more like 7-8 hours.
