92+ Nice gold color. Bouquet of green apple, talc, hint of caramel, a hint of petrol. Bone dry with good acidity. But still there's nice fruit to keep it well balanced. Flavors of tart apple with some petrol along with talc and minerals and slate. Long finish. Drinking well now and it is transitioning into an older stage. Outstanding qpr. Based on the petrol notes if they become more prominent maybe it may be better to drink up sooner rather than later

Wow! Even more impressive than the last tasting. As soon as I smell the wine I could tell it was going to be amazing. Still with a very dark color with minimal lightening around the edges. the bouquet is Heavenly with gobs of minerals, smoke, cedar, leather, tobacco, lead pencil. Dense and concentrated with extracted dark fruits, minerals, graphite, hands of chocolate, cedar, lead pencil, leather. Long finish. Along with the fruit it still has some tannins. This is really coming in to its own now. Outstanding qpr. For those who are fans of 2003 PC don't ignore the 2002 or 2004. Plus 2002 right now is far more complex and showing a lot more than the 2003. The 2002 is a perfect example of how sometimes the Vintage is that are not considered the best still sometimes age extremely well and show beautifully when it's from a good estate. Drink now to 2027, possibly longer

95++ this wine continues to improve and open up at is really starting to come to its own now. Approaching the quality and flavor of 2001 and it may even surpass it. Dark color with slight Ruby edges. Incredible bouquet of dark fruits, earth, minerals. Big and concentrated with Incredible complexity. Dark fruits, dark earthy flavors, minerals, flint, cedar, tobacco and a little bit of smokiness to it. Great balance. Long finish. Just absolutely delicious. At Peak but feels like it may even improve a little bit more. If I had to guess this should last until 2028 but definitely need to check in on it regularly. Bravo! Incredible QPR. In my opinion along with the 2001 this is some of the best kosher Bordeaux produced alongside with you 2002 through 2004 Pontet-Canet

I put flawed or defective because this bottle is from the current distributor and it does not taste like the bottles I have from the original distributor/importer who originally brought this in. I also found the same thing with the current importers versions of the 2014s from this producer. This has a slightly caramelized taste and flavor and notes to it that I did not have in the bottles that I originally got. I have another bottle from this importer and I will hopefully try it soon. That being said the one is enjoyable and pleasurable but certainly not as good as the original imported version. It still has good acidity and minerality but a slight caramel note. Therefore into my taste not as good as the originally imported bottles

This is a wine that requires serious contemplation. It is not a big bold in your face but more of a subtle complex and beautiful wine. I've been consistently impressed with the wines from this Winery.
Nice gold color. Citrus bouquet with a touch of oak. Concentrated with excellent acidity but yet there's a softness and somewhat of a plush nature making it list austere than most Chablis. Flavors of citrus, soft pear melon with lots of slate, minerals, stone, acidity with a long finish. A nice touch of Oak on the flavor profile where it adds to the flavor but does not dominate it. Long finish. It is definitely different than the other chablis. Both good. The oak adds another layer of complexity. This drinks well now but my suspicion is that this will improve with age significantly period likely best from 2026 to 2031. QPR to be determined based upon how it ages. Should this develop very nicely it will be worth its price tag. For current consumption it's worth its price tag to try but if you're going to drink it now and drink all of it now I would defer to the regular 2022 from this producer for right now which is in a very Floral state which is very nice
Another note is that a few days later in the bottle this really has not fallen off or changed much at all. In fact I may have opened up a little bit more. And that's with it sitting on the counter with just a cork in it

From a good bottle. Pale gold color. Lava city and citrus flavors with some minerals and slate. Minimal oxidation. Still had good citrus fruit. Drink now. Good bottle could age longer but it's just going to taste like an old acidic wine without a lot of character even if it stays good

92+ Peachy melon bouquet. Good concentration and excellent acidity with a lot of minerality. Good Citrus flavors. Nice complexity. Citrus, mineral, slate, Stone . This is really shut down a good bit. It seems to be the theme for me this week. I believe that this will probably re-emerge and showing even more complexity based upon other wines from this producer. Maybe wait a year to retry. Still an excellent wine

Like the other burgundy's I tried the day before this is also tight and not showing as much. Still had some good fruit and good acidity and was certainly a little more open than the 2015 from the same producer but different region. I may have it again this year and I certainly will make sure to try it at age 15 next year. Still a big wine and it was good for a few days after being open in the bottle where it continued to evolve showing more smokiness and tangy berries

92++ surprisingly tannic and backward and tight. The tightest and most shut down since I've tasted this wine. Of note it still stay good over several days open and it did open up some but never completely like it has in the past. Still an impressive big solid burgundy. This is a lot more dense and concentrated then other wines from this region in burgundy. Dark earthy fruit, dark fruits with some hints at berries. I will likely wait until until I try my next bottle.

92++ as is with burgundy they don't necessarily continually improve but along the way they will shut down and then open back up. All four burgundies I tried over these two days had really shut down a good bit. You could certainly tell there was a lot going on but just tannic tight and backwards.
When first opened this had a gorgeous smokey earthy bouquet. Medium dark color. Full bodies and concentrated with some Earth and dark fruits. But really tannic tight and backward. Still very youthful. A big wine. Needs time. I'll check in on it again in a year just because it's the 10-year mark

Had for the arba cosos. It was so good for that. It went down so smoothly and you could even taste the flavors. It was a pleasure to drink using it for this. Highly recommended for the four cups in the future. The previous tasting was much more enjoyable to be able to contemplate and really takes the wine but like I said for some thing that you had to drink quickly this went down smoothly and still had a lot of varietal flavor and was really enjoyable

This is going to be a serious departure for my previous tasting note. This time this was much more tannic backward and tight. It still had a massive amount of fruit with tons of tannins and some nice dark cherry earthy flavors. Acidity also keeps it lively. But this is very firm in monolithic. Should this open up over time and taste like my previous tasting this will deserve a much higher score. Definitely worth trying. Of note over two days it opened up a little bit but not a ton

After a few relatively disappointing tastings in the last few years where it basically is a monolithic big huge wine without a lot of flavor or complexity it is finally starting to show some complexity. Prior to this tasting their less expensive Le Hurlevent Had been consistently more impressive. Answering a lot of spice and dark berry flavors this is finally starting to open up. Is a big huge wine and hopefully it will continue to open up with further aging which I truly believe it will. At the end of the day if you're going to have one of the big boy cdps the Le Hurlevent is it much better choice in my opinion. I think the QPR for this wine is fair to poor. I hope the time will prove me wrong and this will open up to be a much more beautiful in the future. For now if you drink it let it breathe extensively. I'll probably wait another year or two before trying this again

Dark color. Plush velvety fruit bouquet with blueberry and cassis. Dense and concentrated with layers of fruit but also loads of tannin. Well balanced with density and concentration. Dark fruits, blackberries, blueberries. Long finish with tannins and acidity. Enjoyable now it should probably improve for another few years. Likely best from 2027 to 2031. More tannic and structured compared to the 2019 which has more flamboyant fruit. It would definitely be fun to try those two side by side. Good qpr. Definitely worth owning

91-92. Tasted next to the Chinon which had a little more fruity nature that still had plenty of fruit but was a little more complex with some smokey notes. Still beautiful vibrant fruit with dark berries and blackberry flavor with some hints of smoke and a perfume nature. Great vibrant fruit with excellent balance. This is not your typical New World super concentrated Cabernet frog but more of the old world subtle Delicious Fruit filled version. Outstanding qpr. A must try.

Beautiful light violet vibrant color. Juicy Berry bouquet. Light to medium Bodied with good juicy fruity dark berry and blackberry flavors with a slight hint of a perfume nature. This is not your California or other New World Cabernet Franc. This is an outstanding example and then absolute QPR home run but be prepared for something that's more of the juicy fruity Berry lighter style and even though I say lighter style it has plenty of fruit. It is absolutely delicious and a must try. Tried next to his Bourgueil this was a little more fruity and the Bourgueil was a little more complex with some Smoky notes

91-2+ good showing with good concentration and fruit and already showing nice complexity. Somewhat open more so than I thought it would be but still has tannins and acidity that need to shed for it to show its best. Excellent qpr. Very nice to taste next to their hcdn as they both showcase the difference between the two regions. Both are enjoyable and both are well worth owning. The hcdb had more complexity while the hcdn had more muscle but still have plenty of complexity
