8/11/2020 - senna22 Likes this wine: NRI bought 9 of these in March 2013 from Chambers Street. It was one of the first Jura wines that I ever bought. Early on it seems that the whites were agers. So I held them back. Started drinking them again a couple of years ago. Of the remaining bottles, two were over the hill. And then there was this one tonight. WOW, what a great wine. One more to go. I'm not in a hurry. |

2/3/2019 - senna22 Likes this wine: NROpened with dinner. Poured a 2009 Sauzet La Garenne and the Diamond Creek before sitting down. The Diamond Creek opened beautifully with some gradual improvement over the meal. My last one at a perfect time. |

4/18/2016 - senna22 Likes this wine: NRBought on release from Chambers Street and cellared ever since. Been meaning to pull my 4 bottles from long term storage just to open and pour out given the frequency of bad bottles. Then I read Repoper's reviews and thought maybe there is a chance. Tonight expecting very little - I even pulled two bottles to open, almost brought all 4 bottles. Well, surprise, surprise, this is my kind of wine. And no rush to drink - it's only going to get better. |

7/19/2014 - senna22 Likes this wine: NRBought on release in the Diamond Creek mixed case; cellared ever since. I must confess that at times I doubted the wine. But no more. It was an amazing wine and makes me nostalgic for the 80s style of California cabs. Double decanted an 1 1/2 before drinking. Drinking beautifully but there is no rush for well cellared bottles. Unfortunately my last bottle. Thank you, Al. |

1982 Château MargauxRed Bordeaux Blend more |
4/27/2014 - senna22 Likes this wine: NRThe Margaux was double decanted and placed back into the cellar at 5:00 for dinner beginning at 8:00. The wine was poured upon arrival at the restaurant, and it was still pretty tight. About 9:30 it really arrived at a sweet spot and held it through the rest of the meal. |

5/20/2013 - senna22 Likes this wine: NRHad this wine at our favorite Japanese restaurant. We ate a variety of dishes with many flavors. The wine evolved over the evening to compliment each dish. A great wine that matched up beautifully with all our dishes. With only six bottles left from my original request, I've ordered another case. I definitely need more of this. |

4/27/2013 - senna22 wrote: NRDecanted for 4 hours before our meal. The wine had a slightly vegetal Bordeaux nose, but the mouth was extremely austere – very disappointing with no improvement over the evening. We had a sister bottle last year, and it was excellent. Both wines bought on release and consistently cellared. |

2009 Vaughn Duffy Pinot Noir Suacci VineyardSonoma Coast more |
7/19/2011 - senna22 wrote: NR13.3% alcohol and the first vintage from this producer, Suacci Vnyd. is in the Sonoma Coast AVA; smells of sour cherries, cranberries and spice; tastes like a barrel sample with flavors that follow the nose, crisp acidity, a silken texture but not quite knit together yet; everything is in place but this needs a year in the cellar. Maybe the best thing about it is its sense of lightness on the palate; nothing over-extracted or over-done. Lovely wine with grilled salmon and smashed potatoes. |
