Expressive and promising nose, hint of animal notes, some spice after a while. On palate, initially light body with red fruits but as time passed, it developed impressive weight and complexity. Layers of flavours culminating in a chocolaty finish. Utterly seductive and beguiling, no rough edges. My wife and i finished the bottle within 90 min …. Very expressive on the nose - black fruits, forest floor, spices. On the palate, medium body and a very sweet core of fruitiness that gives way to fine tannins and secondary flavours of dried fruits, leather and chocolate. This wine has good depth and layers of flavour, together with a lingering finish. The bottle disappeared very quickly! |

Linear and precise on the palate, albeit lacking some depth. Overshadowed by the Margaux 96 which developed better in glass. Nevertheless the Latour 95 was very enjoyable rather (than impressive) |

Still dark ruby colour, not much sign of age on the rim. Nose was immediately expressive of dark fruits, straw and peppery notes. Medium body on the palate with very deep and solid core of black fruits, chocolates, cedar and again that slight pepperiness in the finish. Very long, very enjoyable. Compared to Dominus (my favourite Napa) this wine is more hedonistic, more flamboyant, less precision and less complexity but just as enjoyable |

Good breadth and depth of flavours on the palate, leafiness carrying over and noticeable tannins on the finish. Lovely wine but i suspect needs more time. Bottle was opened at 3pm and poured at 8pm and drank over two hours. After an hour in the glass, leafiness was more muted and wine gained in weight and depth with smoky and earthy notes coming thru. |

The aromatics is unmatched, ripe, mature cabernet with tertiary spice, leather and chocolate - some animal musk as well. Loved it. The plate was deeper and more fruit driven than i remembered, beautifully balanced by acidity to keep the palate fresh. Tannins are smooth and muted. The long lingering finish was special. |

I gave it this extended breathing after reading some of the tasting notes here (thank you!). Colour still primary, no evidence of aging. Wonderful and textured nose with layers of primary and secondary fruit, cedar also coming thru. Explosive on the palate but with great precision and depth. The flavours go on and on. Truly a great bottle and went very well with roast duck! Wine of the night, beating out the Mouton 82, Martray corton charlemagne 08 and P2 02 |
