1/8/2010 - pedwards wrote: 93 pointsThis wine has evolved nicely and softened up since trying it a year ago to the week. Dark dark purple in color with a mesmerizing nose of dark fruits, cola, licorice and toasted coconut. I can smell this for days. On the palate dark fruits, nice acidity and well integrated tannins. Transition from mid palate to finish was seamless and 15.5% alcohol was not noticed. Did I mention that the finish just lasted and lasted. Love this wine!! 2010 is off to a great start. |

11/25/2010 - pedwards wrote: 93 pointsThird bottle opened for Thanksgiving so no formal notes taken. Color was a dark ruby, darker than the Sojourn Sonoma Coast PN, with beautiful aromas of strawberries and cherry soda. Silky, velvet, red fruits and just an elegant pinot. Loved it. |

9/22/2011 - pedwards wrote: 93 pointsWow - One of the better bottles tasted in 2011. 30 min decant. Rich deep dark color verging on black. On the nose I got hit with gaminess, raspberries and herbs. First thing that came to mind was blood sausage. Somewhat like smelling a meal. On the palate, so smooth with the same flavors as the nose suggests. My first Copain and struck me as Old World style which I seem to lean towards. |

Nose of dark fruits and on the palate.....WOW....raspberry ganache, blackberries, tannins keep all flavors in place and nice acidity. The balance is incredible. What a QPR at $20. Need to seek out more. |

5/6/2010 - pedwards wrote: 92 pointsSame as previous note from 01/23/10 but also found the finish to have high acidity, as beezer6 mentioned, in a good way. Just makes you want more (nothing wrong with that). Looking forward to visiting the tasting room in Sonoma next week. |

12/28/2010 - pedwards wrote: 91 pointsPop n Pour - On the nose tropical fruits, lime peel. Palate - medium body with honey, lime, peach and just the right acidity to balance the mild sweetness coming from the honey flavors and a 30 sec lingering finish. Overall this is a solid wine and at $9 might be my QPR for 2010. |

Surprised by the light to medium weight on the palate. Lovely balance of cherries and acidity and the finish lingers for at least a minute. Well done. |
