2011-2012-2013 mixed together with 100% Pinot Meunier and disgorged in November 2020.

Extremely deep and mature on the nose with bruised apple, yellow pear, brioche, butter, high oxidation, caramel and some citrus fruit.

Then palate is just lively and fresh with both bruised and red apple, pear, citrus fruits, creamy toffee mouth-feel and some yeast/brioche. Great and sharp acidity with the aged feeling, oxidation and creaminess to add a great balance and complexity with more layers. Lovely.

Very elegant meunier from the first sip, clear signs of fermentation in oak; wet stones, gunpowder, cocoa butter, wax, fresh coconut, vanilla, a slight milk/yogurtiness; there are some ripe fruits such as guava, cranberries, cherries, and some banana; overripe apples and a metallic hint demonstrate clearly the variety.
Such a pleasure to drink, especially in this price point (under 50 euros); we were surprised by the balanced acidity for this vintage and a recent disgorgement, and the dense, oaky texture. Not a simple wine at all as we had presumed.
