11/22/2023 - probraided Does not like this wine: NRFrom a restaurant’s wine list. The most Californian burgundy I’ve had in a long time. Extracted, modern, it paired with dinner ok, but suddenly became mousy and bitter after 2 hours. Undrinkable on day 2. |

11/19/2016 - PanosKakaviatos Likes this wine: 91 pointsTasting Gevrey Chambertin 2015 in Burgundy (Roi Chambertin, Gevrey Chambertin): Richness and slightly more raw tannin than the Bruno Clair. And yet, I like the depth on the mid palate, and there is much to like here. Give it time in bottle. It is not exactly … delicate. But, hey we are not in Savigny Les Beaune, now, are we? |

10/16/2016 - eboracum Likes this wine: 89 pointsHaving read that this producer goes in for luxurious élevage, I was agreeably surprised by this Marsannay's freshness and crispness. It was medium bodied with some depth of slightly creamy fruit, mainly citrus, fine minerals, lively acidity and some backbone. My guess is that further complexity may develop in a year or two. Good+. |

The spiced undercurrent adds an extra dimension and blends iwell together with the cherry fruit that is pure and fresh. The oak is well integrated delivering darker tones and adding an element of austerity. The spices integrate here very well again. Very nice fruit concentration in the palate, spiced and intense, Soft tannic structure, nevertheless fresh and well supported. I reckon this was very good value. Rebuy: yes. |
