7/12/2023 - pmarlo Likes this wine: 89 pointsOpened now for three days, and last today. This is a very respectable Michigan Riesling. Dry and tart. Taste is initially pear but turns to mostly grapefruit. This is hard to nail down, because now i taste green apple and maybe lychee. This is a close clone of German Riesling minus the mineral or oil. Decently long finish. Very pale yellow. Have tasted fair amount of MI wines and this is one of the better ones. It has character. Recommended and would have these on the young side and within five years of vintage. |

Lots of leafy, earthy, stemmy influence. Alsace body and character. The color is very clear. Close to layered and complex peach, apple, pear, apricot, nectarine and honey. Grainy, young malaic acid. The finish is crisp at first but mellows nicely on the way down. |

The color is not pink, but light tomato red. It gets even sweeter as it warms and we drink down the glass. Lots of ripe cherry and strawberry fruit. Really decent balancing, lingering malic acid that works really well with the fruit on the finish. |
