It is perfectly ripe and has great color, so we surmise the grapes got a lot of sunshine. It is deep and rich while being almost as lush as a Pinot can be, yet still has an aura of delicacy. It’s full and complete from nose to finish. Totally integrated, but should easily age for years, as the acids and tannins are still sharp and rustic. |

It’s a smooth ride, from nose to palate to finish. I’m not a fan of pure Zin, so the Petite Sirah adds this a pleasant depth while also giving it the light fruit infusion to make this very accessible. Full bodied, also in the mouth, medium acidity. Perfect window to enjoy, imho. |

It has a bit of Chinese five spice or a floral cardamom-lavender in the nose and a bit in the mid pallet that I've never had before in any other graciano. Drinks excellent now and can improve for another 1-2 years. |

It's from Lauras Vineyard which is east of 101 so is a warmer vineyard, but its a fairly rich cabernet that still seems under ripe in parts. Does drink as a much younger wine though. Its too early to drink in 2023, I would not taste again until 2025 and hope that middle tartness expands into something that does not mare the finish and make this a generally decent wine. |
