The alc. of 14.5% isn't noticeable whatsoever. Not a blockbuster wine but rather "old world" in style. It feels very natural. If the finish was longer it would have passed the 90 points mark. Bought at Coop. |

In bouquet ripe smell of dark fruit, taste is copying the smell, it has good tannin structure some coming from cab, some coming from the wood, seems in its drinking window probably since this vintage so you dont have to hurry on this one. Final verdict is - heavy expressive bordeaux blend in a new world interpretation. Also very gastronomic wine. its asking for some steak with grilled vegetables. |

Focussed wine, the palate is rich and round with some savoury nuances adding complexity and more guava, cut apple, nettle and a creamy texture. That apple skin adds texture that I assume is from the extended maceration? Fairly long, I liked the complexity of this wine and its difference, displaying a focus or precision with savoury edges alongside a gentle tannin that really worked well given the richness of fruit. Fruit forward, bit of plum but also red fruit. Also some slight oaky notes of chocolate. Finish was medium but surprisingly decent. It’s a VERY fruit forward wine that is very easy going to drink, but very one dimensional. No decanting required. |
